Our first delve into the members’ data brings Arsenal and West Ham’s midfielders onto Tuesday evening’s radar. City’s returning Belgian, the options up front on Tyne-Wear and Everton’s recent form in the final third are also analysed as we restructure our squads for the doubles.

Budgie surgery time, NOT A WILDCARD QUESTION! Bench one defender and one midfielder from these:

    Sakho Simpson Bellerin
    Ozil Sanchez Payet Lanzini

    Adrian, Darlow
    Bellerin, Darmian, Sahko, Gabriel, Simpson
Sanchez, Payet, Coutinho (unless Firmino fit), Mahrez, Lennon
    Aguero, Kane, Lukaku

I don't like Darlow or Darmian but my budget is maxed out so no DDG.

      1. Heels_Over_Head
        • 12 Years
        10 years, 2 days ago

        And not so much

At minimum, if you're taking a hit it should be for someone with a DGW in 34, no blank in 35 that plays for a reliable defense

        1. Mr Pink
          • 12 Years
          10 years, 2 days ago

I'll have 11 players for GW35 without a hit (barring injuries), so basicall, if two extra matches can justify the hit, then the two options imply playing either Alli or VVD in GW35.

    4. Eze Really?
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 2 days ago

The reason Lennon is not worth a hit is his playing time. I know he has been playing recently but expect rotation with Miralles Oviedo and Barry back; especially when there is a massive fixture pileup, lots of away games, possible cup success, playing for little in the league and recent form. Barkley and Lukaku are not written in stone either.

      1. Mr Pink
        • 12 Years
        10 years, 2 days ago

Cheers. Really appreciate the input. Lukaku is locked in long ago and is not going anywhere. How do you see Everton defensively going forward? Is it just me, or do they seem a little bit more solid at the back with Jagielka?

        1. Eze Really?
          • 11 Years
          10 years, 2 days ago

Lukaku minimum risk. Jags could have scored twice against United. Mori ans Stones will probably rotate. Jags makes Everton more defensively sound as you point out and he is a leader. He has also had a large part of the season on the sidelines and is less likely to burnout. I would avoid Everton mids as the choices are to many.

          1. Mr Pink
            • 12 Years
            10 years, 2 days ago

            Thanks again.

Sounds like Jags it is then. Since I already have 11 for GW35, it is hard to say no to four games vs two, even for -4.

Surprised at people going without Ozil. Those fixtures are sublime and no rotation risk.

Same with Sanchez, but he has form

What's surprising is the number of people going with double Arsenal defense that hamstrings them from being flexible enough to own Sanchez and Ozil later

Only 4 weeks left after the double - hopefully won't punish us too badly.

KDB is wrecking my head. Anyone see a need/way to get him into this wc team?

    Mignolet | Robles

    Bellerín | Smalling | simpson | Gabriel | Delaney

    Payet | Sánchez | Mahrez | Coutinho| Lennon

    Agüero | Lukaku | Mitrovic

Downgrade Smalling and Mitrovic (to Liv defender and Rashford?) And swap KDB for Mahrez or Lennon if you can afford it?

Anyone think it is worth it to include bolasie in a wildcard team, only to remove him for gw34 for coutinho...this would cost me a hit the week after...

Or better forget bolasie and simply go coutinho gw33 onwards?

    Thanks

      Not for a hit

It would in effect only be for a 2point hit as bolasie would earn 2 just for playing his 2nd game of week 33...

    I can afford this exactly.

    Mignolet,Robles
    Smalling,Bellerin,Gabriel,Jagielka,Sakho
    Sanchez,KDB,Payet,Lanzini,Coutinho
    Aguero,Lukaku,Mitrovic.

Think I'm settled for now. See how KDB does tonight.

KDB rising is a little annoying. Was hoping Payet would rise first.

Just means I've broken even I suppose, but my team is already 0.1-0.2m off not being available and while I could just make the team now, I'm trying to wait for injury news/midweek matches to end.

Smalling and Rashford to PVA and Defoe in GW35. Loving it.

Why not payet/barkley instead of KDB/Lanzini?

      Dann/Moreno/Bellerin/Simpson/Mangala
      Alexis/Ozil/Coutinho/Payet/Barkley
      Kun/Lukaku/Rashford

      GW 34 Dann --> Smalling

    Repost

Leaving Aguero out of my WC/BB team really makes everything so much easier, and lets me get guaranteed starters as well. Tinker with your teams and see the difference without Aguero.

    Thoughts on this one?

    Cech/Robles
    Bellerin/Smalling/Sakho/Mangala/Janmaat
    Sanchez/De Bruyne/Payet/Coutinho/Lennon
    Lukaku/Mitrovic/Martial

15 DGW guys, all of whom are nailed on. Can navigate 35 quite easily with this as well (10 players, no hit, and then 10 dgw players in 37 with no hit as well).

    A) De Gea, Clyne and Lennon
    or
    B) Mignolet, Jagielka and Mahrez?
