This evening we reveal the result of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII final and the name of the Fantasy manager who has joined previous winners donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC and Mark in our Cup hall of fame.

With a rank of 2,842 Leon Harris went into the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII final, against 27,046 ranked community regular Numb, with form on his side.

Leon was at a disadvantage heading into Gameweek 32, though. While he had used up all his chips in his march to the final, including a savvy triple captaincy of Harry Kane for his semi-final clash with konman, Numb had a second wildcard, triple captaincy and bench boost at his disposal, as well as two free transfers.

Instead of using his chips to help his cause in the final, Numb opted to prioritise the forthcoming double Gameweeks, leaving Leon to claim a comfortable victory by 84 points to 69.

Numb may have shunned the use of his chips but he did use his two free transfers well, taking out Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld, who conceded against Liverpool, and Manchester City’s injured midfielder Yaya Toure for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, who netted 14 Fantasy Premier League points, and Dimitri Payet, who scored a wonder goal from a free kick.

Leon’s XI proved too strong, though, with his differentials of Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson, Manchester City’s David Silva and Leicester’s Wes Morgan all bringing in the points. The 15 FPL points from Morgan meant that Leon managed to outgun Numb’s Leicester defender Christian Fuchs, who still scored an impressive 10 FPL points

Leon’s victory takes him to an impressive 1,303rd in the overall rankings and earns him first prize of a £200 Amazon voucher.

Numb is now 23,218th overall but with his chips still to play he looks well-placed for a further climb up the rankings. He also takes away the runner-up prize of a £100 Amazon voucher to console himself.

Thanks to all those who took part in this competition, which this year showed how the use of chips and wildcards can prove pivotal to success.

Can and Hendo out next week then, Cout and Firm are safe only so many they can play.

I dropped him for KDB. Time of the year to take a risk

  7. Stephen - Robot Daniels

Keep putting together my drafts and every time end up a downgrade of Payet to Lanzini away from a nice team (albeit Payetless).

This will give me bit of balance and 2.4 ITB for room to manoeuvre into 37. Other drafts max out my bank balance and team into a corner going forwards

    DDG, Darlow
    Bellerin, Jagielka, Gabriel, Simpson, Sakho
    KDB, Sanchez, Lennon, Lanzini, Coutinho
    Aguero, Martial, Lukaku

Anyone talk me in or out of the above?

Yes I'm in a similar position. Undecided between Mahrez & Payet or KDB & Lanzini. I think I'm going with the former.

I guess it depends on your ML position. Going payetless is more of a risk but you could reap the rewards by having that differential. At the same time it could go the other way and leave yourself open to falling behind

      1. Stephen - Robot Daniels
        • 13 Years

That's the dilemma! Can take it back and change a bit more and I'm back to square one and have a new draft that's different to the hundreds I've done already 😀

Thanks both, Payet in for Lanzini and Mitro for martial gets me down to 0.6 ITB and rules out my Martial to Kane plan for 35 though... Plenty of thinking to do!

All set. Hope I can make 0.1 in the next day to upgrade Moreno, but if not, willing to risk it.

    GTG here?

    Robles, DDG
    Bellerin, Smalling, Moreno, Dann, Gabriel
    Sanchez, KDB, Firmino, Payet, Lanzini
    Kun, Lukaku, Mitrovic

I'm happy to use a FT to get a keeper (Schemical or Forster) in GW35.

    Robles - Darlow
Simpson - Gabriel- Delaney - Morgan - Darmian
    Sanchez - Bolasie - KDB - Barkley - Firminio
    Kun - Mitrovic - Lukaku

    Gw33 - 5 DGW players
Gw34 - Bolasie > Lanzini 13 DGW players after BB.
    Gw35 - 2 Transfers -4 to get me 11 playing.

Am I going mental or is that alright?

A template seems to be pretty much established now (Payet, Sanchez, Aguero, Lukaku, you all know the suspects)

Who is everyone counting on as their differentials to get the edge over fellow FFSers for the coming weeks? I have personally gone for a Liverpool double up on Coutinho/Firmino and Mitrovic.

I think the best moment of the DGW could be that initial moment, after update but before kick off, when you realise how much of an advantage you have over players that had previously seemed completely out of reach. Its going to be a good feeling.

    To afford Ozil to KDB:
