Leonardo Ulloa scores twice as Leicester strengthen their spot at the summit with an emphatic 4-0 win over Swansea. Sunderland keep Arsenal at bay with their third clean sheet in four, whilst Yannick Bolasie is amongst the goals as Palace clinch an FA Cup Final date with Man United.

Ulloa at the double

In the absence of Jamie Vardy, Leicester City put Swansea City to the sword with their biggest win of the season.

Riyad Mahrez ended a run of three blanks with the opener at the King Power Stadium. The Algerian winger has been involved in the joint-most goals (28 – 17 goals, 11 assists) this term but could struggle to exert his influence at Manchester United – who boast the best home defensive record (seven goals conceded) – next time out.

Leonardo Ulloa filled in to great effect up top, notching his first brace of the campaign. Although the Argentine frontman has registered three goals in two appearances, Vardy’s return from suspension should curtail his spell in the starting XI – even if he can recover from a fresh back complaint that forced him off in the latter stages.

Having served a one-match ban for his sending off in last week’s draw with West Ham, Vardy is set for a personal hearing at the FA later today after accepting a charge of improper conduct in light of his dismissal against the Hammers.

Marc Albrighton rounded off the scoring in a second-half cameo, while Danny Drinkwater, Demarai Gray and Jeffrey Schlupp bagged assists. The latter started ahead of Albrighton in midfield – underlining his out-of-position potential – but lacks the security of starts to pique our interest.

For the eighth home encounter in 10, the Foxes shut out the opposition. Their final home tie of the season pits them against an Everton unit that failed to score in their last two road trips, which strengthens the allure of Leicester’s budget defenders.

Swans thrashed at the King Power

Swansea succumbed to their second successive heavy road defeat, which serves as encouragement for West Ham United ahead of the Welsh club’s trip to the Boleyn Ground in Gameweek 37.

In light of the Swans’ unforgiving schedule (LIV, whu, MCI), those still holding Gylfi Sigurdsson may be looking for midfield alternatives ahead of double Gameweek 37, with yesterday’s result meaning they have scored just once in their last three fixtures.

Gunners stumble on Wearside

Arsenal registered a third draw in four outings as their trip to Sunderland ended in a goalless stalemate.

Mesut Ozil tested the patience of his 41% ownership by posting his seventh blank in eight starts. Notwithstanding the German’s poor form, he fashioned more key passes (17) than any midfielder across his previous four starts, which might convince owners to sit tight before a promising home tie against Norwich City.

Gabriel Paulista and Danny Welbeck were consigned to bench duty for the second match running, negating their viability on the Fantasy market. Jack Wilshere made his return to action at the Stadium of Light, adding further competition for place in the Gunners’ midfield.

Investors in the Gunners’ rearguard profited from their fourth clean sheet in six fixtures, with Laurent Koscielny and Petr Cech earning two bonus points apiece. With promising head-to-heads against Norwich (four blanks in six) and Aston Villa (five blanks in seven) on either side of a trip to City, their clean-sheet prospects look strong during the run-in.

Black Cats on the rise

Sunderland climbed outside the relegation berths as they avoided defeat for the sixth time in seven match-ups.

The Black Cats recorded their third clean sheet in four outings, shining a spotlight on their defensive potential ahead of their double Gameweek 37 (CHE, EVE). Patrick van Aanholt reaffirmed why he’s the prime route into their back line by notching three attempts – second only to Christian Fuchs (four) among defenders this Gameweek. The 4.3-priced Vito Mannone, meanwhile, picked up maximum bonus and has produced back-to-back double figure hauls.

Prospective investors in Jermain Defoe – who represents their most attractive source of attacking coverage – will be slightly concerned that Sunderland failed to score in three of their last four outings. On the other hand, the Wearsiders next locks horns with a Stoke City outfit that shipped four goals in each of their previous three fixtures.

Palace clinch final spot

Crystal Palace ran out 2-1 victors over Watford at Wembley to book their place in the FA Cup final.

Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie caused the damage, while Pape Souare and Damien Delaney supplied the assists.

Although the Eagles enjoy a decent trio of fixtures (new, STO, sou) to close out the season, they appear to have already done enough to stave off relegation – bar a miraculous run of form from both Sunderland and Norwich. In a similar situation to last Wednesday, then, where Bolasie, Joel Ward, Scott Dann and Mile Jedinak all missed the trip to United after picking up “knocks” ahead of the semi-final, heavy rotation should be expected before the FA Cup final on May 21.

Deeney strike not enough for Hornets

Watford’s lack of attacking spark was once again brought to the fore as they managed just two accurate attempts in the capital.

Troy Deeney restored parity in the second half, scoring his second goal (Jurado assist) in six starts across all competitions. Given that Odion Ighalo hasn’t netted in the league since January 23, Deeney looks like the form route into Watford’s attack for their double Gameweek 37.

Etienne Capoue was stretchered off at the 32-minute mark with a knee injury that’s set to be scanned in the coming days. It remains to be seen whether his absence will soften up the Hornets’ centre and diminish their shut-out prospects for an eye-catching quartet of match-ups (AVL, liv & nor, SUN).

How many Centre Backs do West Bromich Albion possess? 🙂

Will Slaven go for speed(Sakho, Antonio) or power(Carroll)?

My answer is that I honestly don't know, but this will be the bones of the Matchday Squad, as it stands now:

    ... ... ... ... ... Adrián(vc)
    Antonio, Ogbonna, Reid, Cresswell
    ... ... … Kouyaté, Noble(c)(p)
    … … Sakho, Payet, Lanzini
    ... ... ... ... … Carroll

Subs: Randolph, Moses(Song), Valencia, Emineke, Obiang, Tomkins, Collins(Oxford).

Okay guys. As many others I'm feeling a lot less confident after this GW. I have only 22pts with Kane(C) and Alli still left to play.

I am chasing ML with about 30 pts.

    This is current team:

    Darlow - Robles
    Gabriel* - Sakho* - Simpson - Bellerin - TFM*
    Payet - Lanzini - KDB* - Alli - Sanchez
    Mitrovic* - Kun - Kane

    I think I need:

    - Man U def(Guess TFM will not play?)
    - SUN players(PvA, Defoe)
    - Vahrez
    - Liv attacking option

    I have 1.7 ITB and 1 FT

    These transfers are tempting me:

    A: Darlow-> De Gea
    B: Sakho->PvA
    C: Mitro -> Defoe
    D: KDB->Mahrez
    E: Lanzini->Milner/Firmino

Any of these sensible, and how many hits should I take?

    DDG
    Bellerin - Simpson - Gabriel*
    Alli - Sanchez - Mahrez - Payet - KDB*
    Aguero - Kane

    0.1 ITB
    Robles - Mitrovic* - Fosu-Mensah* - Sakho **

My rival's main differentials are Hart, Clyne, Cresswell, Alderweireld and Vardy.

I need a guaranteed third defender. I have 11.1 to spend on a combination of ...

    A. Mitrovic to Defoe
    B. Mitrovic to Carroll (can only be combined with Kirchoff)
    C. Mitrovic to Ighalo (can't be combined with Cresswell)
    D. Mitrovic to Deeney

Well your keepers are great, but you could consider DDG > Mannone to free up cash. I'm not convinced that DDG will outscore him.

I do think it's a risk to drop all of Alli, Kane, Mahrez and Kun. But I guess you want something different.

How about these transfers, if you can afford them?

      DDG > Mannone

    Hi guys,

Really sorry for the out of topic post but I wondered if any of you could please help my friend.

My buddy Peter been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (cervical chordoma - effects 50 people in the world per year.) and the oncologist has said there is no further treatment available in the UK or NHS (as is is so rare) and he faces a slow agonising death as this tumour will not stop growing.

Me and some friends have set up some fundraising activities to raise as much money as possible to pay for his treatment in the states and we have had an overwhelming response!

I am not asking for a donation but if you could perhaps share on your social media or however you can to raise awareness and spread the word to help raise as much money as possible.

    https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/ForpetersSake?utm_id=2 .

Once again I apologise for being off topic, but if you would of ever met Peter you would know how much of a loving, caring person he is... And at just 23 years old you realise how cruel this world is.

    Thank you so so much.

How many hits are people looking at over coming weeks?

My season is basically over at this stage, the only mini league that has money riding on it that I can win is pretty much won already, especially if Kane bags a brace tonight.

I need rid of Coutinho, Mitrovic, KDB and Sakho - might replace all 4 of them this week for -12 and then perhaps take a -4 or -8 if needed the following week.

More time between next game right? So KDB could play, but he's been annoying regardless!

          Tell me about it man.

Can't see why he'd need yet another rest, and would Pelle want to keep playing Silva with his ankles?

I like him but he hasn't done much recently - not overly confident as someone who already owns him

case of grass is greener. Lanzini looks like a great pick to me, but can imagine how it feels like to have him the last few GWs.

I think he's unreal and one of the best value mids around, but yeah he has been avoiding points recently unfortunately.

At his price he's by far the best option as a 4th/5th mid

Wildcard has been activated ahead of the DGW for BB. Already made a lot of changes but currently sitting with:

    MIGNOLET* / ROBLES*

    CLYNE / SMALLING / MORENO / PVA / OGBONNA

    WILLIAN / ozil* / PAYET* / BARKLEY* / LINGARD

    DEFOE / kane* / aguero*

*been in the team for a while and selling price is lower than current price.

Not loving the 3 Liverpool players at the back what with rotation etc so any constructive suggestion would be gratefully received on that and the rest of the team.

Knew Mahrez was a baller from what ive seen last season

Took a punt on him in gw1 but who would have imagined he'd go on to win the Player of the Year

Take a bow son. Great achievement 🙂

Kane could conceivably get 12ish points.. so a 2 or 3 to nil win would do it for ya.

    Robles
    Bellerin Gabriel Smalling
    Ozill Payet Coutinho Lallana Alli
    Aguero Kane

    Robles
    Bellerin Smalling Cresswell
    Ozil Payet Coutinho Lallana
    Aguero Kane Defoe

    Darlow Gabriel Alli Simpson

Defoe - most nailed on & fired up

Carroll - I'd argue has better fixtures & form

Rashford - slight rotation risk & United do not score many

      Carroll & Cresswell.

If I've learnt one thing from the last DGW is to go with nailed-on-ness over points potential. Defoe is nailed on for the doubles so he'll have two games to rack up points. Carroll could be rotated and whilst he may score in one what if he misses the other (think Cou/Frim over Milner). I'd have been closer to 180 for DGW34 rather than 141 if I had gone with nailed on players.

Looking to play my AOA chip this week

    Which FT should I do?

KdB > Firmino (play Rose & Bellerin)

    Sakho > PVA/Cresswell/Moreno (which one)
