No more no less. Three is the magic number.

In a week where we ponder shifting to a “power three” in our line-ups, the ScoutCast is reduced to its own Tri-force, as Jonty and Andy join me as part of a skeleton crew for this latest episode.

Don’t worry, somehow we still manage to string things out for 80 minutes. After all, there is much to discuss, not least the current emphasis on the big strikers and the demise of Bobby Firmino – the driving force behind my apparently ill-time Wildcard.

Talking of which, with Jonty’s own Wildcard booked in for the international break, he eagerly assesses the forthcoming “fixture swing” that promotes investment in Man City and Chelsea, among others.

Elsewhere your community questions guide us to examine the latest optimum formation and to check in with “piggy bank” Marcos Alonso’s after his cruel 58th-minute withdrawal in the Potteries.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Aguero replacements...

In my opinion for those with the big 3 upfront (Kane, Lukaku, Aguero) it is best to replace Aguero with Morata.

Why? Chelsea have few viable midfield options.

At least with City you can buy Silva, Sterling, maybe Sane. And they all seem to score quite well when City hit in a few goals.

Yeah, I think cover is a thing... Not a huge thing, but a thing...

        E. G. Option one I'll have Silva and Jesus + a random midfielder in the 6-8m price category (Ritchie)
Option two I'll have Silva, Sterling and Morata.

One gets me involved with City attack alone the other gets me involved in both. Nicely.

Jesus and Morata cost the same.

So why does option 1 have Ritchie while option 2 has Sterling who costs more? Why not Sterling in option 1 as well?

Sterling is also a random midfielder in the £6-8m category

Amuses me that people think cover is a fallacy. Spreading risk across a number of teams is a viable tactic.

I want Chelsea attacking cover... In morata.
I want city attacking cover... In Silva + 1 of Sane or Sterling.

Or do you only consider each individual player in isolation and not look at the rest of your team?

There was a community article a couple of weeks back which confirmed its the way to get consistently average results. Still viable but depends on how you want to play.

    morning everyone
we do a ml at work with monthly cash prizes currently i am leading by 8 points, the guy in 2nd place just took a 32 point hit and confirmed it, he doesn't know that wildcard will cancel it out (p.s he has never won a penny in 3 years) do i

    A) do the decent thing and tell him about the wildcard
    B) laugh at him some more and look forward to the dosh
    C) tell him to take more hits as he is in the mire

Morning DZ - any thoughts/advice on my 'plan' would be very much appreciated.

    Current squad:

    Foster (Myhill)
    Davies Jones Bellerin Bertrand (Long)
    Eriksen Coutinho Mooy (Romeu Carroll)
    Kane(c) Aguero Firmino
    (0.1ITB)

    GW7: Aguero > Lukaku (FT)

    Potential GW8WC:

    Fabianski (Elliot)
    *Davies *Jones Alonso Maguire (Mbemba)
    *Eriksen Sterling Can (RLC Carroll)
    *Kane Jesus Morata
    (0.1)

Or Alonso > Luiz allows Jesus/Morata > Aguero/Lukaku switch as required.
Can/Carroll/RLC rotating in the 11th spot.
Probably drop one of Eriksen/Kane after BOU match.

For the great majority of patients with blunt chest trauma, outcome and prognosis are excellent. Most (>80%) require either no invasive therapy or, at most, a tube thoracostomy to effect resolution of their injuries. The most important determinant of outcome is the presence or absence of significant associated injuries of the central nervous system, abdomen, and pelvis.
