Monitor – Harry Maguire

As one of just six sides expected to be granted a pair of fixtures in both Gameweek 34 and 37, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) interest in Leicester City has reached a new high.

Understandably, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy are the main targets among Claude Puel’s regulars as managers wield their Wildcards, with faith in their defence dented by a run of six Gameweeks without a clean sheet.

One look at the remaining schedule (bha NEW bur & SOT blank cry WHU tot), though, looks promising for points at both ends of the pitch.

Indeed, the Foxes’ next six opponents all sit outside the top six, with a home encounter against Arsenal expected to drop into the penultimate round of fixtures.

With two goals and four assists to his name, Harry Maguire appears to be the standout contender among the Leicester backline. Yet at a lofty 5.6 in FPL, does he justify the extra outlay over his budget-friendly, defensive team-mates?

In our next Monitor members’ article on Wildcard targets ahead of Saturday’s Gameweek 32 deadline, we look to the Opta data for answers.

    1. Monreal (or alternative not smalling) and Morgan

    2. Maguire and Dummett (or another 4.2/4.3 defender)

Morgan and Dummett's contributions would only be BB34 and maybe one could sneak a start in GW36 or 37..
