The Technical Area – The Rate My Team Bench Boost

The first of a rapid-fire pair of Double Gameweeks is now finally upon us, and brings with it an opportunity for diligent managers to make up considerable ground upon less-prepared rivals.

The four extra fixtures also offer the opportunity to deploy one of their potentially game-changing chips, with many now stuffing their benches with Double Gameweek assets ahead of a weekend Bench Boost.

With this in mind, this week’s Technical Area is dedicated to identifying the ultimate Gameweek 34 Bench Boost side, as recommended by Fantasy Football Scout’s own Rate My Team (RMT) tool.

In addition, we also sprinkle in some standalone statistical and eye-test observations of recent form for the key assets involved.

    Any thoughts Guys:

    A Willian/Erikssen
    B Vardy/Alli

(I'm on FH so would have cheap other player on bench(Barnes/Romeu) respectively).

Mustafi Alonso Aubameyang ---> Smalling Davies Kane? It would be a -4 point hit but I feel with the DGW and the clean sheet potential/Kane's goalscoring, it wouldn't be a risk? Thoughts?

    OR

I get rid of Aubam and Alonso for Kane and Smalling and upgrade Murray.

    Thoughts?

First one a no brainer for me. Davies had some big scores and rose out. Man Utd could well get 2 clean sheets

    DDG
    Alonso Robertson Chilwell
    Salah Mahrez Son Willian
    Kane Auba Barnes

    Ryan Lowton Morgan L.Cook

    Which one?
    A) Auba + Robertson to Lukaku + Long(-4)
    B) Auba + Chilwell to Vardy + Vert(-4).

It feels this article could have provided some more RMT figures to give some comparisons. A few players get honourable mentions but there's no clear understanding why, for example, Mahrez qualifies while Vardy doesn't.

For this week only, which score the most? A) Vertonghen and Smalling
    B) Bavies and Smalling
    C) Chilwell and Valencia

If you could only pick one for this DGW (and the next looking ahead) which would you choose: Smalling or Davies?

Also, best defender for 5.0 or less (taking into consideration the two DGWs)?

Mustafi > Long for a hit?

Frees up a hefty chunk of cash to allow Kane for 36.
