Japan and Senegal are set to play out another World Cup Group H match that has been largely overlooked by Fantasy managers.

In fact, no player in this fixture is owned by more than 6.6 percent on McDonald’s FIFA World Cup Fantasy.

The most popular asset is Japan left-back Hiroki Sakai (£4.0m) who appears to have reclaimed his starting place after recovering from an injury. He registered three assists in qualifying and could seriously pay dividends at a cut-price with a good performance against Senegal.

As World Cup Fantasy managers look to fill their squads with penalty-takers now that VAR has had an impact on the game, Shinji Kagawa (£6.5m) has earned more owners this week. He now sits in 4.6 percent of squads.

Outside of that, it’s budget punts for most Fantasy managers. Takashi Inui (£4.5m) did very well for Japan on their left-win against Colombia and has the backing of 3.2 percent today.

Youssouf Sabaly (£4.0m) and Salif Sane (£4.5m) are the go-to budget-enablers for Senegal, while Liverpool’s Sadio Mane (£8.5m) owned by 3.3 percent.

World Cup Data

We’re delighted to offer World Cup data as an early addition to our regular season offering to help those playing Fantasy games over the summer.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

Check out this new trailer previewing the World Cup content below…

Are people planning on getting rid of Kane? Kane to Ronaldo, Cavani to Reus/Salah (-4) worth it?

        1) Belgium Defense great (they played wide open in the last game because they could score at will)
        2) That game will be played conservatively and after one goal they may shut it down

Fifa’s disciplinary code, article 54 states that “anyone who provokes the general public during a match will be suspended for two matches and sanctioned with a minimum fine of 5,000 Swiss francs (£3,800)”.
So who knows? Certainly an intentional hand sign despite what one of them said after the match.

About my 6th WC attempt. 🙁

    Sommer. Ben Mustapha.
    Kimmich. Cedric. Carvajal. Akanji. Bronn.
    Coutinho. Shaqiri. Isco. Inui. Sassi.
    Ronaldo. Costa. Reus.

    Better?

I'm not sure what the others looked like but it looks ok at a glance.

      Jedinak Cheryshev Inui Isco Coutinho
      Ronaldo(C) Reus Costa

Looks good. Very similar to mine. I would probably save 0.5 and get Portugal defender instead of Patricio though

Not convinced by Sassi and Shaqiri is a risk but looks good.

Who to downgrade to create 1m?

    a) Kimmich to Rudiger
    b) R.Rodriguez to 4.5 (Akanji)
    c) Guerreiro to 4.5 (Advincula)

What is 1m for? Probably A but not really keen on any

To do a 4.5 mid to Cheryshev.

I have Inui and a 4.5 Russian mid at the moment

Is Cheryshev certain to start with Russia being through already?

We'll get the lineup for that one first anyway.

They’ll surely want to win the group, so I’d expect so

They would avoid Spain (probably) and as hosts have the extra motivation

Kimmich put in so many good crosses last game, great chance of an assist and cleanie vs Korea I think

He is on pens and some set pieces too apparently though
