Double Gameweek 13 review
AIK and IFK Norrköping had two fixtures in GW13 and managers were understandably loading up on options from both squads. The big fantasy-villain of the week would have to be Panajotis Dimitriadis (5.5m) who wound up with a score of -3 (or -6 for the managers who played the “Park The Bus”-chip!) thanks to a red card and two goals conceded. The first game of the double (AIK-Norrköping) was a mixed bag of fortunes as owners of Christoffer Nyman (9.7m) got a nice 11 pointer thanks to his brace, while Lars Krogh Gerson (6.1m) topped the charts with his 14 point haul courtesy of 2 assists and a surprise clean sheet. Gerson got his third yellow and missed out on the second fixture for Norrköping. Beyond that, not many popular options delivered in the first fixture with no clean sheet for AIK, and no goals from Tarik Elyounoussi (9.4m) or Jordan Larsson (7.5m).
The second round for the doublers saw AIK face off against Malmö, and Norrköping taking on IK Sirius. In a controversial game (containing some poor refereeing), AIK wound up drawing 0-0 and managers with multiple defensive AIK-assets drew a collective sigh of relief, yet again though, no points from Tarik Elyounoussi, his move back to midfield seemingly denting some of his fantasy-appeal (so far at least). Norrköping were the overwhelming favourites to (at the very least) score a few goals against IK Sirius, yet despite firing off 13 shots (6 on target), neither Nyman nor Larsson found themselves on the scoresheet. Instead, it was Sirius who also had 13 shots (but 8 on target) who came out victorious through an 89th goal from Philip Haglund (7.3m).
Elsewhere in single gameweek-land, there were quite a few clean sheets and a show of strength from Djurgården, where Kalmar through a sublime performance from keeper Lucas Hägg Johansson (4.9m) merely managed to keep the numbers down. Despite conceding twice, Johansson came out of the game with a 6-pointer, thanks to being credited with 10 saves and 2 defensive bonus points. Djurgården hammered his goal and wound up with 23 shots (13 on target). Man of the match for Djurgården Marcus Danielsson (5.6m) got 14 points through a clean sheet, 1 goal and 2 defensive bonus points. That’s now 14 defensive bonus points from Danielsson on the season, having only played 9 full games. Besides the goal, he also had 3 shots off target against Kalmar…
Gameweek 14 preview
The double gameweek madness of gameweek 11 and 13 (and a terribly timed summer-break) is now behind us and we move on towards gameweek 14, with half an eye towards blank gameweek 18. BGW18 might seem far away (roughly a month to go) but assuming you don’t have any saved transfers, it’s now just 5 free transfers to deal with all the blankers from AIK, Norrköping, Malmö and Sundsvall.
AIK and Malmö still have decent fixtures leading up to GW18, Norrköping’s are a tad bit tougher. Sundsvall really isn’t looking good in general, failing to win a single game since defeating Falkenberg at home in GW6. In fact, their record for the season stands at just 2 wins, 5 draws and 7 losses. With Linus Hallenius sold, the only real fantasy option from Sundsvall appears to be goalkeeper William Eskelinen (5.5m). Maic Sema (8.3m) is one of the biggest disappointments for them with him blanking in every game since GW3, a terrible run of form for an attacking winger who gets 90 minutes every week.
Leaving upcoming blanks aside, gameweek 14 hands us some interesting matchups. Göteborg host struggling Sundsvall, Djurgården travel to Eskilstuna looking to put pressure on Malmö, Hammarby in desperate need to get back to their winning ways host Falkenberg, and Norrköping tries to bounce back from the Sirius defeat at home to Häcken.
Players to target
Marcus Danielsson is quickly establishing himself as both an alternative to, and a double-up option with, fellow Djurgården defender Aslak Fonn Witry (5.1m). Danielsson is doing the defensive side of the game superbly, and he’s always an aerial threat from set-pieces. Add to that the fact that he’s high up the pecking order for penalty-taking duties and he could soon find himself in more than his current figure of 17.4% of all squads. Djurgården’s game against AFC Eskilstuna should provide him with a good chance of gathering more points to his season tally.
Giorgi Kharaishvili (8.5m) is a bit surprisingly only in 7.8% of squads, his record of only 1 assist in the last 5 GWs undeniably a factor in keeping those numbers down. However, as has been harped on about here by myself and others, his bonus game is so good that his floor is pretty much 4 points every game, even when “blanking”. Besides his 3 goals and 4 assists on the season, he’s also on 9 offensive and 11 defensive bonus points from 12 games. Against Sundsvall, chances are good for him registering some more fantasy points, not just through bonus.
Captaincy thoughts
Muamer Tankovic (9.2m) missed out on GW13 with a late omission from the squad due to illness. He should be fit again ahead of a very favourable matchup at home to Falkenberg, who despite losing their whipping boy status a bit, still has a dreadful away record this season – 4 losses and 2 draws. Tankovic is playing for a new contract (naïve hope from a Hammarby supporter) or a summer move abroad (more likely) and he should definitely be able to get something from this game.
Djurgården’s game against AFC Eskilstuna seems promising and besides Danielsson and Witry, Jonathan Ring (8.0m) has a good chance of continuing his positive trend. Any of the three could be decent captaincy shouts, even though many would hesitate to captain any defender that isn’t Daniel Sundgren (7.1m).
Markus Rosenberg (10.3m) has a game at home to Örebro that (assuming he plays) should be quite productive. Rosenberg actually hasn’t blanked in any of the home games he’s played a part in so far, netting an impressive 4 goals and 3 assists from 5 games.
That about does it for this week, did you have a good double gameweek 13?
Who are you capping for GW14?
Have you started planning for blank gameweek 18 yet?
Cheers all!

Lovely jubbly. Prob getting Kharaishvili in for Nyman, and captain Tankovic.
Need to fix defence - Andersson/Isherwood, esp also having Sundgren/Mets, but think I'll postpone (ignore) that
