The eagle-eyed among you (or those following us on Twitter) may have spotted that there has been an addition to the Members’ Area over the past few days.

We are pleased to report that we have secured access to the qualifying data for the 2020 European Championship from Opta, which is now available to view.

This will hopefully be of use to Fantasy managers in the long term when the Fantasy game for Euro 2020 is launched next May/June, allowing our Members to look at which players have been the most threatening or creative in qualifying.

Some of you may find the data useful right now, of course, as you keep tabs on your Fantasy assets during the international break.

Match data can be viewed on a game-by-game basis by clicking here, while player statistics and team stats are also in their usual format.

Be sure to select the ‘European Championship Qualifiers’ option from the drop-down menu, as shown below.

Data from Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s qualifiers – including England’s match against Bulgaria – is already up on the site, while Sunday’s games will be added soon after the final whistles blow across the continent.

It’s not just European Championship qualifying data that is available, though – we also have stats from selected international friendlies on hand in our Members’ Area.

You can see how the likes of Nicolas Otamendi (£5.4m), Richarlison (£7.9m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) are faring by selecting ‘International Friendlies’ from that aforementioned drop-down menu and then accessing team, player and match data from the games played this week.

Does Vardy cover KDB? Can he match him, can he exceed him? Vardy is .9 cheaper and I think he can. Sure if you own KDB from 9.5 then you aint going to change him. But Vardy for anyone without KDB is an option if you got Sterling or Kun. That .9 can change things

    1. MTPockets

He could, or not. Wildly different player, team and fixtures.

I mean cover his points not the team, in the long run KDB surely outpoints him (if he remains injury free). Vardy doesnt really pick up injuries tho so if that happens (kdb injury) Vardy could actually end the season on more points.
But anyway im just talking for now and weeks ahead, not whole season

        1. MTPockets
          6 years, 10 months ago

KDB - nor, WAT, eve, WOL, cry
Vardy - mun, TOT, NEW, liv, BUR

But I guess KDB has european rotation risk

Feels like my team locks me out of Vardy (and Soy?) GW9:

    Pope (Woodman)
    TAA, Digne, Ota (Lund, Kelly)
Salah, Sterling, KDB, Mount (Cantwell - would play him sometimes though)
    Barnes, Pukki, Haller

0.0m ITB. Took -20 in total to get here from my GW1 team. 75k rank (I keep blanking captains, ffs). GW5's -4 hit should be the last. Swallowed the pill and finally got KDB, so I'm done squad-building

Seems the only route to Vardy involves selling Haller + KDB/Pukki/Barnes/TAA/Digne/Mount... Ya know, two great players and then 0.5 to bump Kelly up to Soy and get a flexible 4-4-2 vs 3-5-2 vs 4-5-1 depending on fixtures (if I sell two strikers and Kelly)

I consider Vardy a captaincy option and Soy criminally underpriced for those defensive stats so far. But it would literally take a few injuries to make the switch easier to swallow... Which I certainly do not hope for

Question is, what makes you change from a team which had been giving you points to a team which might offer more points due to fixture swings? I wouldn't even need a wildcard for this, as it's just three transfers which I can spread over two GWs: Haller and Kelly to 4.4 F and Soy in GW9, then Pukki to Vardy GW10. I'd almost definitely be able to afford the moves

    Just feels... Weird

        They've only kept one 😀

BPS is quite the lottery in a Leicester vs Wolves match with a 0:0 score. Way too many defensive assets in FPL vying for the bonuses with clean sheets. So I'd say there isn't enough data

That's a nice team you have. Just wait and see. I never really plan more than 3 weeks ahead. A ton can change.

Vardy is also one of the worst forwards to try and play the fixtures with. He scores against the big 6 just as much as the bottom 6. If you want Vardy, get him and keep him.

I reckon Klopp has settled on VVD and Matip as his CB pair.

Rotation more likely to happen in midfield as LFC are stockpiled with mids.

If anything, Milner will step in if anything happens to Trent. Gomez needs to stay fit unless anything happens to VVD or Matip. Think Klopp will take it easy with Gomez as he was out for ages. There is always Lovren but he is pretty much out of the picture. Cannot even make the bench.

Is it crazy to bench Pukki and play Ceballos? This is my reasoning:

    1) I don't have a city defender. Most people have a City defender + Pukki and will likely play both. If Norwich (read: Pukki) do not score, they will gain 4 pts from their City defender. If Pukki do score, their City defender blank. Either way, one of their assets will get a blank.

    2) I reckon not a lot of people will play Ceballos, but I can easily see Arsenal score 2-3 goals and I find it likely that Ceballos will be involved given he is their most creative asset, whereas I find it hard to see Pukki scoring, as City will be on the ball 75 percent of the game.

Misunderstood. Thought you slated mene because they already wrote an article onI the subject. But your point is, that you don't understand how I could post on an old article? In that case, it's because I posted on an old article beforw this post? I just clicked on a comment on the right section (mobile version) as it more often than not brings me to the the page where people are actually discussing stuff. A guy before me posted on the old article. Was just unlucky to hit the wrong comment

      1) This happens pretty often.. nothing to worry about. I had Pukki in GW1 vs TAA and VVD.

Flores may go all out to keep a clean sheet though. We could also see the Watford players getting a boost with the manegerial change. I will be keeping an eye on Deulofeu.

I have no Arsenal but do have Pukki and I will be playing him.

Watford will not be able to keep a CS vs Arsenal. I would find that very unlikely

I could also say I find it unlikely that Cabellos will get more than 2 points.

You could. But do you honestly believe that Watford, a team that is not exactly known for keeping CS, will keep out the likes of Auba, Pepe, Laca and Ceballos? I definetely wouldn't bank on it

I would still play pukki, city defense is not indispensable as most people seem to think

      1. FC Hakkebøf
        • 9 Years

Maybe not indispensible, but he won't getting many chances I reckon. He is clinical though. But the point is, that I have a feeling Ceballos could outscore him. And if Pukki should score, at least that will mean that a lot of people will loose a CS from their City defender. So it doesn't seem like a big risk to play Ceballos andandthe the reward of him doing is high as he is a differential pick

      Laporte of course 🙂

Ota or Walker who is the only City defender which can provide attacking returns at the moment. Zinc showing no signs of hauls and when Mendy is back he may well be the City defender to have but his fitness is an issue. Would not touch Stones with a barge pole.
