Joe is joined by Karam and Tom from Who Got the Assist? for the latest episode of the Scoutcast tonight.

As the Champions League is back on our screens, this episode will overlap with the European action and we will try to bring you regular updates from Manchester City and Tottenham’s matches.

Episode 303 marks a slight changing of the guard when it comes to the captaincy.

After a rotation of Liveprool and Manchester City players in the early rounds of the season, Arsenal are starting to creep into the equation some more.

What impact this should have on our transfers and armband decisions will be the task of Joe, Karam and Tom tonight.

After some impressive statistics in recent weeks, Riyad Mahrez (£8.5m) commands some of our time as we discuss if he’s worth signing.

There will also be time to have a weekly look at how defenders are getting on at both ends of the spectrum as well as the success of assets from newly-promoted teams.

      It's a little unfair to compare as one was an out and out striker whereas the other played mostly as an attacking midfielder/forward and so more opportunity to influence the game. From what I remember, we haven't seen a better striker since, but Christiano has been far far more influential.

    *as it's Pep, 'safe' means have a nailed back up like Pukki as vice just in case.

    Definitely not for a hit. They are both likely to return points every week. Leicester are playing very well but Liverpool could easily batter them. Wolves also have a great record against the top 6 despite being less effective this season.

            Thanks mate, not sure what I'm going to do with AWB just yet. I was hoping to save FT this week and then downgrade VVD to upgrade Jota but then it looks Allison may be back soon so Liverpool defence double up might start to pay dividends.

          I can't see why you'd want rid of Digne, but his fixtures are turning a bit and his price isn't dropping again any time soon - I'd be tempted to keep him as a differential. Your defence will look very thin with just TAA plus the budget faces, but I guess some of them rotate well.

            With Sterling coming off the bench in the CL, I think it makes sense to bring him in and captain him at home to Wolves. The one from my midfield who would go is James. In order to fund that I can Aguero to Auba and can afford a 4.4m def for Digne. I do still rate Digne as an FPL option due to his attacking threat but Everton really are looking pants and feel this move could be worth it as it allows me to get Sterling back.

              Seems a solid plan and Webster is probably the best shout at 4.4. Chambers is actually 4.4 and has an awesome fixture run and could be an interesting differential, though Bellerin will be back at some point and, well, it's Arsenal.

          Just looked and Brighton do have a good run of fixtures. I still think I'd be tempted by Lowton if I was going budget though. I don't expect him to keep assisting, but I think he edges it for clean sheet potential at only .1 more in price.

            That’s why I said EFFECTIVE minus 8. Two transfers that could have been saved on what seems likely to be a one match absence given IB.

            Using two free transfers on a move like this is two transfers you could have used elsewhere.

              He is right though... its only EFFECTIVELY a -8 if he needs to take two hits to bring him in or if has other fires to put out. I'm assuming he did the transfer for free
