It’s back! Fantasy Premier League has relaunched for 2020/21 and, as usual, we’ll have everything you need to set you up for the new campaign.

All of our pre-season content will be collated on THIS PAGE, which will be regularly refreshed between now and Gameweek 1.

It is where you can find our price-by-price, position-by-position rundown of pretty much every asset in FPL.

There’ll also be analysis of all 20 teams, Scout Reports on new signings and Moving Target articles on those switching allegiance.

Any information we learn about the various pre-season fixtures, from line-ups, goals and assists to the wider Fantasy talking points, will also be documented here.

As the transfer window develops, you can track all the ins and outs of FPL assets throughout the summer.

A lot of our content is free but, to gain access to every single article we publish and benefit from all the tools and stats on offer in our Members Area, subscribe from as little as £1.46 a month by clicking below.

I presume you are a Leeds fan so is White expected to go back to Leeds? If so, Is he a better option than Ayling at the same price?

No is the answer. Ayling plays as wingback. White makes us better defensively but in terms of output ayling and Dallas are leaps and bounds ahead

But there again he’s at a great price point if you want Pulisic when he’s fit. Has produced steadily under Mou iirc it’s

5.8 or so ppg as a forward
5.1 or so as a mid

He is my favorite player but Spurs isn’t good as Liverpool, City, United and Chelsea and there is uncertainty on his positioning (LW vs SS), he is forced to backtrack a lot when he plays a winger.

      1. Moderately content penguin
        • 7 Years

Still managed over 5 ppg as a backtracking winger under Mou

I know - was hoping if fixtures fell right to use him and Mo as placeholders for KdB Bruno in week 1 but that doesn’t work now on prices. Waiting

        2. Klaren
          • 8 Years

He played as a forward vs Villa and Arsenal which is the two games he scored his highest points on; I think your calculation is taking those games into account?

As a LW, he has 1 goal and 3 assists in 8 games post-restart.

          1. Klaren
            • 8 Years
            5 years, 8 months ago

His pre-restart performance was better but in my opinion, the later data is a better indication of future performance as he played some games without Kane and they overperformed in Mourinho’s first few games, i.e. new manager bounce. Of course you can disagree on that.

          2. Moderately content penguin
            • 7 Years
            5 years, 8 months ago

            You could well be right

Forget how I worked it out. Think I just looked at games pre and post Kane.

Mou style an issue but he’s got a sufficient track record I’m prepared to give him a whirl if need be. Not a key target for sure.

            1. Klaren
              • 8 Years
              5 years, 8 months ago

Depending on fixtures and Man Utd and Man City blanks, I might start with him as well and see how it goes. As I said he is my favourite player and think he is a great fpl asset but just wary of Spurs under Mourinho so will try to be more objective about Son this season rather than getting him straight in as I usually do.

Why? I don't gamble myself, but didn't FPL always have a no-cash league rule? What changed?

Players (and Players on behalf of others and organisations) can establish mini-leagues in accordance with the Game Rules. The Premier League does not permit Players charging for entry to mini-leagues they have created, strongly encourages Players not to join such leagues and cannot be held responsible for their management or any loss suffered through Players’ involvement in such leagues. The Premier League reserves the right to suspend and delete Registrations of Players that charge entry to mini-leagues they have created.

        Changed T&Cs

I've certainly never seen it before. Believe it is new, puts pressure on sites that offer it as one of their membership "perks" / Patreon accounts etc

Fair enough - I've never taken part in cash leagues so I wouldn't know, I was just under the impression they were always discouraged.

What changed? There is no way they can avoid cash leagues, it’s not really under their control.

      1. Klaren
        • 8 Years
        5 years, 8 months ago

Just saw the explanation. I wasn’t aware of websites organising cash leagues, you are right; it could affect those.

But many are organising cash leagues with their friends/colleagues etc; not really possible to prevent those. Maybe a slight deterrent but don’t think it will impact a lot.

One of those things where if someone were to report it to FPL, they'd have to take action. Best to keep it to people you know and trust then which, again, I think is a good thing anyways

This rule change has to be a worry to the many managers that run a money league. If someone happens to throw the toys out of the pram that they will get the chop because of it.

I checked Ferguson and Douglas. Douglas seems to have started some but looks like he doesn’t start regularly, just a backup maybe?

Ferguson was also not in the squad in the 2nd half of the season in West Brom, don’t know the reason but assuming it was manager’s choice, I imagine it will be difficult for him to break into Palace first 11 if he couldn’t do it in West Brom.

Mitchell might play if Van Aanholt isn’t back in time.

The changes which have been brought forward is going to really spice things up and the 'element of luck' could very well be mentioned much less once the points start rolling in again.

    No more leaks!

Quick question for very early team for GW1:
    A. Penalty taker for Chelsea, if Jorginho not play
    B. Penalty taker for West Brom
    C. Penalty taker for Arsenal after Willian join

      A. Werner
      B. Robson-Kanu I think
      C. Auba and Pepe still I guess

      A. If team stays as it is, Werner probably.
      B. No idea. Is Chris Brunt still around? 😀
      C. Still Auba.

Though Pepe and Lacazette are statistically Arsenal's best penalty takers.

It seems that usual 4.5 mids (Hayden, Dedonc etc.) have been moved to 5.0 so what are the best 4.5 mid options now?
Although given the midfield options, this seems like a bit of a waste but I think a more balanced side can be created by banking on the strikers.

Stephens unless there is anyone nailed from the promoted teams.

I think this is one of those rare times when the £6-6.5m strikers are just as good as the £6-6.5m mids.

For example, I like McNeil, but will he be consistent enough to be played as a 4th mid every week? Same questions apply to Perez, Tielemans, Traore, Westwood and Jota.

I think spending a bit more on 3 strikers may serve us better than packing in 5 mids and having 2 dirt cheap strikers.

Even on the higher end, if they remain injury-free, Kane and Kun can match or be in the same vicinity as their more expensive midfield peers. The money saved can be invested elsewhere in the squad.

        Game rules under chips.

The Wildcard chip can be used twice a season. The first wildcard will be available from the start of the season until Mon 28 Dec 17:30. The second wildcard will be available after this date in readiness for the January transfer window opening and remain available until the end of the season. The Wildcard chip is played when confirming transfers that cost points and can't be cancelled once played.

I wish Neeskins Kebano was £4.5m. Love him as a 5th mid. Free kick specialist.

Why is Leeds player price relatively cheaper compared to Fulham & West Brom?
It's Bielsa team, 90s EPL legend and Championship winner!

Probably has more to do with relative Premier league experience rather than anything else.

New deadline 90 minutes prior to game. Personally, I think its a fair and positive move.
