Why I’m lining up for FPL Gameweek 3 without any Chelsea players

A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

    Thoughts on Sterling's form over the last 2 games? I didn't watch last night's match and didn't particularly pay attention to him in the Wolves game but he only appears in the assist in the highlights for the two games.

          He’ll probably be put up front or we’ll see a false 9 playing through balls to him and the other wide forward.

      Watched the entire Wolves match - he definitely didn't look lively the entire match compared to KDB and Foden, but he always looked a threat and made the runs on the back shoulder of the last defender. How he got his first assist. Looked better than past seasons on timing his runs in behind for KDB and co to slot him through but obviously a small sample size this year.

        Thanks, very helpful info.

        Foden looked more lively to me as well in the parts I've seen of the Wolves match but concerned about his minutes vs Leicester after having played 90 in the last two.

      B has higher ceiling but none of them are nailed. I guess also depends on whether you'd play Burke or just use him as a bench player in A.

      1 has some of the best value players in the game (by my calculations), 2 you could end up with only 1 defender playing.

      I wouldn't go with two 4.0s on a WC, especially when there's good options at 4.5.

      But definitely the 1st of those options. Vinagre and Justin both will lost their spots in a few GWs.

      Some words of encouragement for you. His points per 90 minutes last season was higher than Salah and Mane and around the same as KDB. 🙂 When he starts, he hauls.

      Your main worry is how much Pep rotates him because he does it more than he should.
