Man Utd v Brighton team news: Rashford, Pogba and Lamptey benched, Varane ill

The final match of Double Gameweek 25 sees Manchester United play host to Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

Kick-off is at 20:15 GMT.

A lot of captaincy hopes will be pinned on Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo tonight, with the Portuguese pair both installed in Ralf Rangnick’s starting XI.

Elsewhere, there are three changes for the Red Devils from the side that drew 1-1 against Southampton on Saturday, with Victor Lindelof, Fred and Anthony Elanga coming in for Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford.

Varane was initially named in the line-up, but has since had to pull out due to illness.

That means Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw continue in defence, ahead of goalkeeper David de Gea, who’s ownership currently sits at 15.2%.

Graham Potter, meanwhile makes three changes for Brighton, with Yves Bissouma, Alexis Mac Allister and Leandro Trossard replacing Adam Lallana, Tariq Lamptey and Danny Welbeck.

    He has has 2 x FH.. I have only 1.

    Now I'm guessing he's gonna use one so can't TC. Surely u have to Tc Salah no matter wat??

      Late Bruno points saved it from being a bigger red. Too many of my 'differential' players doing rubbish. Top 10k average (not counting the hit, so a bit meh). Glad KDB > Bruno (C) instead of saving with Salah (C) paid off though.

      That Bruno last min goal hurt. Went into GW25 with 0 doublers and ended with 50 points. When I look at the transfer options I considered and factor in the FT/hits I would have taken to get Bruno to protect rank compared to saving FT then I'm down 5 points

    4) Play Dennis or no? 1 YC from a ban, could be a SGW...

        Though would need to sell Tierney in 27 perhaps.

        Not sure what to do on Dennis. Been a total let down, but agree he looked capable of something.

        I agree on the Bruno v Son argument, however due to budget concerns Bruno out is more like my route to Salah rather than my route to Son.
        Only way I could get both Bruno + Salah is with Foden + Antonio > Salah + Broja

      Not sure really. I'd move for Tierney, but I'd need to sell him the following week. Nobody else really appeals, unless you get luck with a Burnley defender perhaps. Wolves fixtures so-so, I guess.

      But again, perhaps he missed Leeds in 27 anyway due to al the running that'll be needed...

      I like the first plan, but Spurs fixtures would make me nervous. Although Son is an absolute lad and it usually doesn't matter what his fixtures are.
