Joe, Seb and Andy help Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers prepare for Double Gameweek 27 and beyond.

Gameweek 27 sees just Burnley enjoy two fixtures. Meanwhile, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea miss out due to League Cup commitments and there are more challenges to contend with.

There are several extremely favourable match-ups for the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. But how can we fit in all their stars into our XIs?

It is a lot for FPL managers to take in.

Joe, Andy and Seb have decided to navigate this trickiest of Gameweeks by deploying their Free Hit chip. For Joe, in particular, it makes sense as his non-Wildcarded team is looking very out of date. Elsewhere, this chip is perfect for the set-up Andy and Seb have chosen for their recently Wildcarded teams.

But many managers will not be using their Free Hit this time around and our Scoutcast trio ensure they are not forgotten as they run through the best assets to pick in Gameweek 27, with an eye on further fixture chaos to come.

With limited fixtures in Gameweek 30 and doubles in the preceding two sets of matches, there is certainly no shortage of potential opportunities and pitfalls ahead.

Thanks to the graphics skills of Nym, there is a wealth of Premium Members Area tables to look over in this latest show, which took place on Tuesday 22 February ahead of the final matches of Gameweek 26.

The best midfield options, attacking defenders and teams, as well as the worst defences, are all considered. Joe’s ‘Goals Imminent’ table also gets an airing, which presents further challenges for owners of a certain Manchester United star.

They finish off with a closer look at their Gameweek 27 Free Hit team reveals, which shows how strong team value has been highly beneficial for one Scoutcaster in particular.

Whether you save depends on how well you will use the FT next week - for example, Gray to JWP probably works well this week and you've then got a double from him in 28 plus some following plum fixtures.

Sterling or KDB on a FH, and why?

    1. BERGKOP
      • 14 Years
      4 years, 1 month ago

Think both will start as there are no fixture pressures this week. KDB ideal but Sterling makes a 2nd City mid more attainable with the extra cash, especially considering Kane and Bruno are also in the mix.

KDB the safer captaincy pick - Mr Consistent in getting 1 return & bonus most games. Sterling if you want to chase higher ceiling & dont mind the higher variance (i.e. more likely to bag 2+ goals v weaker teams but also more likely to blank)

Used FH in 26 and will use my WC in 28 so anything if for this week only. Would you do:

    A. Jota & Antonio -> Son & Broja (-4)
    B. Gray & Ronaldo -> Weghorst & Son (-4)
    C. B + Jota -> Mahrez/Foden (-8)

A fields 11 with Gray (flagged) as 1st Sub. B fields 11 with no subs. C fields 11 with Trossard first sub.

Prefer C but I guess it depends on your mindset on the -8 before WC. You're only removing 1 player that is blanking, Gray could be available at the weekend and Cavani still has injury issues which could see Ronaldo start again

Grealish and Jesus not seen in training yesterday.

Anyone planning a GW28 WC? I'm starting to go off the idea a little now. I have very few doubles for 28 and 29 but they really don't look great so not sure I want to load up a WC on villa, Leeds, Everton, wolves and Newcastle and I already have 2 arsenal and 3 Liverpool. Not sure what to do now...

Yeah same. Might just take a big hit and dead end into 30, WC 31

What's interesting is that a strong GW29 team is also good for GW31.
Triple Arsenal, Kane/Son and Liverpool are fantastic in GW31.

Arsenal with cpl, Spurs with NEW and Liverpool with WAT.

As a result, it's pretty nice to load up on GW29 doublers FH30 and then you get your strong team back for GW31.

Nope. No WC until after GW30.

I'm hoping if all goes well I can do:

          TC26, FH27, FH30, deadend 33, WC34, BB36.

Even though Dennis plays this week and has a double next week, is it worth transferring him to Broja or Jimenez for a hit? Dennis' fixtures aren't anywhere near as good as the other two

I dont think it will be easy but I do think Utd are creating enough chances to score 2 goals ( I think it will be 1-0/2-1). That could be 10 points to a Utd mid. They struggled away to Burnley but still had an xG of 2.17

Ronaldo hasnt been good apart from that goal vs Brighton. He looked so bad against Leeds and he has started the last few. If he starts today, I think there's a chance he gets a rest vs Watford

From GW 27 Till GW 30 Who is better to have ?
    A- Kane
    B- Jiménez

Own both, and Jimé gets an extra game (if you're including 30) but still would say Kane

10-12 years ago you could make around 1.5-2m playing your wildcard in an international break...that's where the trend started from. Price changers were waaaay more volitile and a 0.3 rise per week was common for double digit hauls. My TV was regularly at 115-119m by the end of the season.

I could do with around 50 points tonight to make some headway. Wolves clean sheet would be massive.

    Hi guys!

What do you think about Salah and Watkins for Coutinho and Kane for a hit? Planning to bring Salah straight back in for Gw28. I know it isn´t the absolute best of fixtures for Coutinho this week but i want him for his double in Gw 28.

Or do you think i should just free hit this week?

    Foster,
    Cancelo, Digne, Lamptey, Coufal,
    Fernandes, Foden, Bowen,
    Watkins, Weghorst, Dennis,

    Ramsdale, Salah, TAA, Saka.

Ok, thanks for your input! Do you think i need to free hit or can i survive with my ft. Thinking Watkins for Broja or Coufal for a defender with a good fixture a future double.

You can def survive without FH, you have 11 players playing and 1FT, broja could be good buy

Should be since there were some yesterday, I'd expect conferences through to the weekend at this stage (although hopefully we get a full round for the weekend and not some just post-match from tonight)

Soton & Norwich likely to be tomorrow

I know the 'sensible' choice is Cancelo, but I am toying with ignoring Man Utd completely and going with an FH front 7 of:

    Son Sterling Mahrez KDB
    Kane Weghorst Broja

Defence will be made up of Southampton and Burnley mostly. I know templates are templates for a reason but this seems a fun punt.

    My team
    (1 FT, 0.1 ITB, WC & 2FH):

    DDG
    Cash - Robertson* - Cancelo - Regi?
    Son - Bowen - Foden
    Edouard - Dennis - Weghorst

Bench: Foster - TAA* - Salah* - Saka*

Need some advice here. Currently I have 10 players on the pitch IF Reguilon plays. Should I free hit? I feel like saving it for GW30 and GW33/GW36. I also have a WC left, but could use it in GW31 or later. So basically I think I should sell Robertson and/or Reguilon to field 11 players. But I have no idea if it's worth it. And who to get instead?

    De Gea
    Digne Kilman Cancelo Webster
    Ramsey Fernandes Bowen
    Weghorst Jimenez Maupay

    Ramsdale Salah Saka TAA

    Salah & Maupay to:
    A Kane & JWP
    B Broja & Son
Would probably do Bruno back to Salah following GW

    DDG
    Cancelo Livra Manquillo
    Bruno Cornet Maddison Bowen
    Weghorst DCL King

    Foster Salah TAA Tierney

How is this looking as my normal team no FH, may play WC next week

Didn't watch the game yesterday. Anyone scout Chelsea?

I'm already anticipating their GW28 DGW and I need two players to pick up.

Currently thinking Rudiger + Havertz but it's a bit too tight on my budget for my GW29 Son plan.
    Havertz > Mount?
    Rudiger > Thiago Silva/Azpilicueta/Christensen/Alonso?

I was planning on Ziyech but his injury and the impending return of James means I'll likely have to think of something else. Getting Son in his meant that realistically I probably can't really move for a Chelsea player until GW30, although I'm happy with my alternatives for those few weeks

Highlights only and listened on the radio.

Chelsea were extremely solid at the back.

Kante put in a masterclass, going forwards and defensively.

Havertz could have had a hat trick in the first 15mins.

Very likely imo. There's no other free midweeks. And I heard strong rumors from Twitter as well that there's a fixture planned for March 9 which is when a DGW28 would take place.

I don't want any Chelsea players other than Reece James if he's back.

I can't say I watched the game, which I should've, yet I can't help by cynically think Chelsea are back to trying to not concede as a first point of call.

Mendy, Rudiger & James I suspect will be top options.

I heard they looked much better with Havertz up front. One of the picks has to be a midfielder. I'm replacing my two City players next week and really want them to be Chelsea boys. It fits well. Fixture swing is perfect. If they double in 28 it's great.

Would be basically deciding between Raphinha, Coutinho and a Chelsea mid.

Silva should be in the mix too I imagine, he's actually been a pretty regular starter in the league and has amassed more bonus pts than the rest of Chelsea's defence apart from James (7th overall for defenders)

Rudiger probably the only player I can trust.

How long will Tuchel keep Lukaku on the bench? This could affect Havertz. Mount just back from an injury, not sure I can go there.

Going to watch the replay this afternoon, will prob post some thoughts later. But given Tuchel said Mount was "out a little too long to start" yesterday, I feel like there's a chance he might be eased back in & only place once in 28

I’ve been thinking the same having lined up Chelsea for a while. I’ll be wildcarding 28 and looking to bring at least one in, probably Rudiger.

Watched the first half last night. They looked solid defensively as usual, Kante was immense (not so interesting FPL wise of course) and the attack looked a little more balanced with Havertz.

Part of me is considering doing Cancelo to Rudiger. I know I’d get shouted down on here for considering selling Cancelo but I wonder if Chelsea’s fixtures and solidity (and potential City rotation) could make it a risk worth taking?
