FanTeam's World Cup 2022 Fantasy game has launched 1

There are two different entry routes for FanTeam World Cup entrants.

The main game requires a £5 buy-in and is restricted to one team per user. There’s a minimum prize pool of £50,000, where the winner bags at least £5,000.

For those who like the old-school FanTeam with multiple teams allowed, the £20 buy-in tournament allows up to 25 entries per user. It boasts a minimum guaranteed prize pool of £100,000 and first-place wins at least £10,000.

As both options have a progressive prize pool, the £100,000 and £50,000 will continue to rise with each new entry beyond the minimum guarantee.

HOW TO PLAY

Both money routes have the same format and rules:

  • £90m budget (increasing to £95m later in the World Cup)
  • Pick an 11-man team – so no subs!
  • A minimum of one goalkeeper plus at least three defenders, two midfielders and one forward

As for discovering how to score points, we’ll bring you a more detailed article next week – but regular FanTeam users will already be familiar with the scoring system, which is very similar to FPL.

    Zaha to Saka or roll FT? My decision making process is a bit frayed this week given I made the opposite move before Saka braced at Liverpool, and I’m also coming off the back of a terrible GW score which saw me go from 7k to 29k.

      They're professional athletes, so long as their recovery is managed and the training is tailored to reflect the heavy game time he will keep playing them, especially considering they both seem to be personalities that are willing to take on that burden (especially Kane in that regard)

    Alright lads, poor wildcard gameweek just gone. Think u got 43 all out and lost a hefty lead in MLs due to going Salah (C).

    Raged him out for Saka (stupidly, as he's got Leeds next as I could of just done Bowen - Saka and had him in).

    Got a horrible feeling Salah finally hauls and what with the flag on Haaland... am I insane for considering a FH to get Salah in?

    I originally was going to bench him this week, but I'm tempted to throw Zouma in against United - De Gea is tragic when put under pressure at set-pieces and other than Casemiro who has any aerial ability in that United team with Varane out? Surely the Hammers will target corners/free kicks as a route to goal, with Soucek and Zouma the big targets?

    What has happened with Son this season?

    We can argue what has happened to Salah but he always needed 5 shots to score a goal

    Historically Son was the opposite, he basically scored every shot he had

    What has changed? If he wasnt having shots that's the answer but I still see him taking shots, hitting the bar/post etc

    Surely he has to become an option at some point?
