  • West Ham v Newcastle (Wednesday 5 April)

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 29 FIXTURES

  • Brighton: BRE + bou
  • Chelsea: AVL + LIV
  • Leeds: ars + NFO

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 29 REACTION

FPL review: Maddison's elite numbers, Spurs' injury woes 1

We now have confirmation of Double Gameweek 29 and it’s a big one as expected, with 12 teams set to play twice.

Away matches for Liverpool against Man City and Chelsea are far from straightforward, but more appealing doubles await Leicester and Nott’m Forest.

And what about Brighton and Brentford, who could now potentially face two ‘doubles’ and two ‘blanks’ in the next five rounds?

What all of this does mean, however, is that chip planning will become more important than ever in the coming days and weeks, with Free Hit deployment set to pick up in Blank Gameweek 28 and Double Gameweek 29, depending on your strategy.

For a rundown of the latest Blank Gameweek 28 permutations, see below.

So our chip strategies are highly dependent on Leeds’ result against Fulham in the cup. What a funny game we play

Both BHA and BRE are doubling in 27 and 29 so WC27 FH28 anyone?

Brentford doubles are not convincing, may be toney is banned by then too.

Before the GW29 deadline we should have almost all the information.

Think I’ll just plan up until 28 and deal with chips after that.

Already have nine doublers GW29 and four doublers GW27 before transfers. GW28 not so great.

    Forster v EVE (A)
    Gakpo v MCI (A) + CHE (A)
    Zinchenko v LEE (H)
    James v AVL (H) + LIV (H)

    Hi.

Still have TC remaining after mistakenly giving up too early on a mini-league which I've since made a comeback in.

When are the best opportunities to use it? Just 25 and 37, right? Saka TC this week?

Looks like no matter what way you cut it, you'll have an absolute write-off of a GW at some point from here until the end the way things have fallen...

Try make sure it's in BGW28 or BGW32, remember you can get a green arrow every GW!

with the timely planning and going with strategy WC27/FH28/BB29 you can actually make a decent plan for navigating bgw32 with just one or two blank players, and after that there should be no blanks

    Kepa
    Bueno Gabriel Tarko Shaw*
    Ode Saka Andreas KDB*
    Haaland Kane
    (Ward Trippier Rashford Toney)

2FT. Which is the better option?

    (A) A 1-fixture defender/Brighton defender & Salah for KDB & Shaw ( no standout double-fixture defender so it is either a 1-fixture defender or maybe even a Brighton defender, giving me 10 players for e week since I have zero Brighton players in my squad now)
    (B) Gakpo & TAA for KDB & Shaw
Personally prefer Option B since it gives me much more budget to upgrade my squad for future weeks n do not really think it is worth spending so much money on Salah. The combined points total of Gakpo & TAA for e week could easily exceed Salah too in my opinion.
    What do you all think?

    Likely taking a - 4

Is patterson to tarkowski worth another hit?

Tarko is another sure starter for gw28 when I don't want to free hit

    Doubt patterson usurps Coleman.
