Tonali and Barnes are good additions, but I think Villa has strengthened better (and Liverpool + Chelsea). I don't see Toon being around the Top 4 this season, and they have difficult opening fixtures.

Spent a weekend in ACT about 25 years ago. Apart from AWM and one pizza place, most of the town seemed to be closed.

I have heard it is not like that anymore, but my memories of AWM then were: WW1 = Boo Britain; and WW2 = Boo Japan.

Before 'elf and safety went mad. I seem to have a recollection of a kid cutting the end of his finger off at a birthday party a playground at which the star attraction was an old fire engine.

On the other hand, the number of vehicles surviving from that era in reasonable condition is absolutely tiny when you consider what large numbers they were made in.

      Badiashile - hammy-knack.
Fofana - serious cruciate ligament injury
Tilva - nearly as old as me
Sarr and Chalobah - not very good

So yes, I reckon he might well.

Looking at this, it finally hit me that Chelsea also now have hardly any CMs or CFs either.

  11. Baileyflop

Here are some thoughts that are pretty close to "facts":
    - Eze will get more minutes than Mitoma over the season (barring injury)
    - Eze will be involved in a higher percentage of team goals
    - Eze will be on more set pieces
    - Brighton will probably score more goals than Palace
    - No-one can predict who will score more points but, in general, they should both get more points with better fixtures.

Eze definitely an option and it's a reasonable idea to switch between the two based on FDR.

Here's a thought that's more of an opinion: Palace will likely regress a bit from the great form they showed at the end of last season, but Brighton have been a good side for a while now. They do have European football to contend with but I don't think that will stop them scoring goals.

Yeah, switching between Eze and say Mitoma, you've got to get lucky and land on the right side more times than not.

You're probably better off holding for at least 6 games to pick up the spread of points.

Also the best players score against the better teams.

There's always an issue to fix too, rather than the luxury of rotating transfers.

I agree with pretty much everything you’ve mentioned there re: Eze/Palace.
I’m gonna start with Eze and Mbeumo, (either an east switch to Mitoma if need be), logic being that Eze and Mbeumo should be involved in most of their teams goals.
Estu my only Brighton player to start.

Ramsdale should do well, but maybe a waste of an Arsenal spot. Brentford keeper if Raya leaves?

I also have a feeling that Pickford could do well for the reasons that Pope and Tom Heaton used to.

I'm a bit stuck for a GK, having triple Arsenal and United outfield players, so I've gone for Ederson. At least with him in my initial squad, I can survey the scene and move onto any goalkeeper who emerges other than Ramnana.

Allison had 4.4 points per match, the same as Raya last season and at the top for regular starters.

Ederson way down the list at 3.5 points per match and level with Fabianski. Half of the keepers are better choices.

He is a more than decent keeper, he was great for Fulham a couple of years back IRL, but am not sure where this hope that he will usurp Fab comes from and if Areola is not WH number 1 then with such high ownership could lose value pretty fast and the odd 0.1 lost can be very annoying.

        Ezekiel 25:17
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children
And I will strike down upon thee
With great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers
And you will know my name is the Lord
When I lay my vengeance upon thee"

They may do with Europa League and they do have 21 midfielders and attackers to pick from.

But the manager was fairly loyal amongst a core group last season.

    Think I'm settled on this:

    Onana
    Stones Gabriel Estupinan Chillwell Beyer
    Saka Bruno Mbuemo Foden Nakamba
    Haaland Gabriel Jackson

This leaves1.5m itb, which I'm tempted to keep to see how the first few weeks pays out. Would leave me flexible to go

    Beyer to a 5.5
    Foden to Rashford/Nak to Gibbs-W
    Jackson to anyone but Kane

Might get priced out though if there are price rises. Thoughts on this approach?

But only 67 big chances = 4th (best) overall. And Raya's xGP was +2.8 - strong, but nothing crazy like Leno's +9.5 or Alisson's +8.5. That's why I think it might be a structural/tactical things with Brentford's defence, conceding a lot of saveable chances. They also top the table for shots conceded outside the box

I’ve got 3 drafts here which I am deciding between, I’d really appreciate your help!

    A)
    Flekken | Areola
TAA Gabriel Estupinian | Beyer Bell
    Rashford Bruno Mitoma Mbeumo Saka
    Haaland Jesus | 4.5

    B)
    Pickford | Areola
Henry Gabriel Estupinian | Beyer Bell
    Salah Saka Rashford Martinelli Mitoma
    Haaland Wissa | 4.5

    C)
    Flekken | Areola
Gabriel Estupinian Stones Shaw | Beyer
    Rashford Bruno Saka Martinelli Mitoma
    Haaland | Nkunku 4.5

Which do you prefer??? First one has Trent, second has Salah and third has neither.

While Barnes doesn't have the quality of a Rashford or Martinelli, 6.5m for a top 4 wide forward could be a snip when the fixtures turn.

Fraser, Hayden and Hendrick aren't part of the first team squad and are meant to be finding new clubs - if possible.

Darlow will leave. Ashby, Lewis and Kuol should go out on loan.

Krafth's injury has probably meant he sees out the final year of his contract and also kept Manquillo at the club.
