    How does it look?
Probably pretty close to most others I guess.

    Pickford
    Stones - Shaw - Gabriel - Estupinan
    Salah - Saka - Bruno - Mbeumo
    Haaland - Nkunku

    (Areola, Anderson, Archer, Beyer)

Think there’s more value to be gained from a strong 5th mid rather than 4 at the back.

Surely Anderson has played himself ahead of Joe Linton, for now?

He’s been on fire preseason hopefully the manager will give him a chance but you never know.

It is either him or Ahamada for the bench for me at 4.5. Happy to take the risk with Mr Anderson.

Joelinton is pretty nailed in the starting lineup. If Longstaff and Willock are still out, and Tonali still looks off the pace, then perhaps Anderson could start in midfield.

Think that may have changed with recent Anderson performances.
The manager has to reward it surely, otherwise have the risk of losing a good young talent

Howe has said that he'll start who he thinks is best in GW1, regardless of price. Anderson (and Gordon) seem to be ahead of some of the others in terms of fitness in preseason. There's two weeks before GW1.

I like Anderson. Personally I think he's better in the front 3 than the middle 3. Will see what happens in the friendlies next weekend and if there is a chance he gets in the starting lineup for GW1.

        This was my thinking.

Nicholas Jackson is £7m for Chelsea with similar professional appearances and goals and a couple of years older. Looking at the output of other 6.5/7/7.5 strikers priced this season it had to be 7.0, but won’t be.

10 goals in 34 appearances? Can’t be more than 7. That is not a good record. Unsure how the BBC have the gall to compare him to Haaland.

Only started 10 games last season though. I'd expect if he plays more minutes and with better players around him, he should improve

For comparison, at age 20 Harry Kane scored 5 goals in 27 games (mostly championship and cup competitions). So hopefully plenty of improvement to come for Hojlund

Any suggestions how I can find 0.5 here? I want it so I can do Estupinan>Chilwell or Stones around GW3.

    Onana
    Trippier - Gabriel - Estupinan
    Saka - Rash - Foden - Bowen - Mitoma
    Haaland - Jesus

    Areola, Mubama, Baldock, Bayer

There is 1.5 itb but thats for Trippier>TAA for GW2

Astonished that United spent that much on Holjund, as someone who watches 2-3 Serie A matches each week he’s far from the finished article.

Also word bubbling about that Liverpool are inquiring about Mbappe on loan. Would turn this game upside down.

Kane at Rasmus age had played for Leyton orient, millwall, Norwich city on loan and got 20 in 91. I rest my case. I’m not saying he’s gonna be as great as Kane but at that age, unless you are a freak like Rooney, mbappe, r9 then it’s not until you are 21+ you make strides

TAA or Bruno? I can't decide.

I lean Bruno atm because if they're both going to play in midfield then you'd imagine Bruno will be a much more attacking midfielder than Trent would be.

True but Liverpool's defence was absolutely shambolic last season and I don't think it'll be any better this season. Seeing their fans on twitter complain about how bad it's been in friendlies so far.

Nobody would be discussing if he didn't score in friendlies against very poor teams. Same for Richarlison

      1. Sure You Did
        • 2 Years
        2 years, 7 months ago

Completely different scenario for Rich and loads would naturally be discussing, if Kane leaves and an inferior replacement to Rich is brought in. He would be main CF for an attacking Spurs team. Darwin is simply not nailed with quality akternative players in the team. Completely different scenarios.

        1. Andy_Social
          • 13 Years
          2 years, 7 months ago

Yes, the contrast is this: Darwin will likely score highly in points-per-minutes, but won't get the minutes. Richarlison will get the minutes - 90 per match, but will be poor in points-per-minute.

          1. Andy_Social
            • 13 Years
            2 years, 7 months ago

Having said that, IF Darwin starts well, he probably WILL get the minutes, but it's not a presumption I'm happy to make before the season gets underway. I do have Jesus and Nkunku ready to be dropped if Darwin does start on fire though.

I actually don't disagree with your point, I think he could be a good differential and seems like he fits what Postecoglu wants from a forward. But my point wasn't that, my point was that the vast majority of discussions about both him and Nunez are only happening because he scored a few goals the other day. (Not saying that was the case for everyone including you, thought I saw you mention him before that, but I'm seeing a lot asking "is Richarlison/Darwin an option?" as if they have any other reason to be looking at them than extreme recent bias
