      Feck xg but yes he is an obvious pick. It's why Salah had no appeal to me this week. However if someone wants a calculated risk you'll win betting against and getting it right.

        I have Salah for realiabilty and regular returns, as well as Saka. Can't see them leaving my team soon.

          Nothing wrong with that. Gw1 he held no appeal given the excellent 7-9m mid pool. Now that underpriced great value gems have emerged Salah is an option to me now.

      Luton not kept a clean sheet and Neto is on fire, I can only see a Wolves win and I would bet that Arsenal are planning on snuffing out the supply to Maddison, he can collect the ball deep but is less dangerous there, that's not saying he doesn't have the skills to combat this, there are suggestions that the Derby will be high scoring, I will stick my neck out and say I think it will be tight with an Arsenal win and a Maddison blank.

    Chilwell & Isak -> 5.4m & Jesus [2FT]

    What are we thinking, friends?
    Was hyped to be early on the Isak Express, but turns out I was too early.

    Current defence is:
    Chilwell, Trippier, Udogie, Gvardiol, Baldock

    Who comes in? Double up with Walker / Botman? Gamble on Konate? Go back to Saliba?

    Nice article. The eye test is really important imo. Especially when you’re blinded by stats. Ive seen several high profile players argue until they’re blue in the face that Alvarez isn’t worth owning because his stats say he’s massively overachieving…and they are still saying it.

      Do people play FPL if they don’t like football? I’ve always seen fantasy as a complement to watching footy, which I’d do regardless. When people cite the “eye test” like it’s some kind of chore they have to do for FPL I find it bizarre.

      If we could pick a new team each week then I'd agree, but I find my opinion on which players are likely to score well changes much more quickly than I can change my team with free transfers. When that's true you need tactics and approaches to try and maximise the points.

        I genuinely think it is! I find if I create rules for myself to follow I box myself in. Get your points about flogging injured players before anyone else, but what if the players you brought in scored tons of points?

      Konate from GW9, Porro from GW8 and then there is Gabriel @4.8 who will probably be back @5.0 at some stage. Raya is going to make a huge difference for Arsenal at the back.

    Looking at saving FT this gw and asses Chillwell next gw. And then probably do moves below:

    Chillwell -> Trippier
    Sterling -> Diaby

    Great fixtures for Newcastle and Villa going forward from next gw.

    Which 3 defenders to pick this week?

    A - Chilwell
    B - Estupinan
    C - Udogie
    D - Cash
    E - Gusto

    Currently thinking ABD with Gusto as 1st sub. Alternatively I could use my FT to bring in Botman for Chilwell, but was planning to do that move next week as I think Sheff Utd will score.

        Zouma or another WHU defender if you are looking for a 4.5. After LFC they only have New at home in GW8, Spurs away in GW15 and then they have UTD at home in GW18 so fixtures are good.

          Nice but would do Andersen to Cash if you have the funds 😉

            Yeah I'm .1 out annoyingly - though I think Palace at home are strong defensively and I don't see a clean sheet in Cash's next 2 fixtures. Also not sure he'll be that attacking once Moreno comes back.

            That said long term he's defo a good option with those fixtures after gw8

              Bell may be dropping to 3.9, so if and when he has dropped you can then move Kabore to Bell and there is your 0.1.

        Reguilon has sneaked onto the Scouts watchlist.

        I know Manu are in dire form, but they often have a poor start then pick up form. At 4.4m is he an option as a cheap pick with good fixtures on the horizon? (On WC)

          I just think defensively they're a no go at the moment, even if they pick up some attacking form they're still conceding loads with that midfield

            True, he has been taking up advanced positions and with Mount and Amrabat not far off coming in I was thinking they might tighten up.

            But yes, they do look like they will concede every game.

          Don’t like anyone from that United defence, surely better options at similar prices - Udogie, Botman, etc.

          I’m starting Chilwell. Higher ceiling as long as he starts.

            Cheers, does seem the logical move, just bitter about missing out on all the previous points and price rises

          Some nice short-term punts in the WC team, but it looks like maybe too many of them? Doku, Trossard & Wilson could become a problem around the same time, with Grealish back next week etc. I guess the front 8 mitigates that to some extent but I would scale it back to 2 of those 3
