    Having a rough season, then bring in Bailey and Watkins (c) this week. It just will not end and I am sick of VAR. Didnt even celebrate the ‘goal’ as I knew something would stop it.

        Regardless of FPL points or not the constant checks for virtually every penalty box action have destroyed the game. Players dont help by engaging in all the wrestling and play acting but its just a pure lottery now

        Tbf it was a foul.

        It also was a penalty....

        but after the push and the pull he got his head on the ball to clear it, which might have added some doubt despite that being the intention...

    The Matty Cash turn of events is a perfect summary of FPL when nothing is going right. CS, max baps, concedes, booked, injured.

    Am thinking we have enough forwards options for 343 to make sense in the 2nd half - soon additionally nkunku, toney maybe.

    Considering Kluivert as the 8th attacker instead of archer

                That was the exact action and he had to sit down afterwards.

                Andy Tweeted it out.

                So that is why I think he's still likely injured and they wanted to suppress that news.

                The bit they deleted was him sitting down looking a little forlorn.

      With Salah/Son away from 21, I would be flexible between 342/352 with a better 8th attacker than Kluivert

      1. Fellaini's Fro
        • 12 Years

        For me
        Salah = trent + Saka

        Son = richarlison+ Trippier

        Not going to spread the funds onto the bench just in case I want them back

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 7 Years

          Good 8th attacker can be your first sub. 2nd and 3rd subs would be defs in 4.0m and 4.5m bracket. Worst case Salah/Son are away until 24 and can be transferred in using 2FTs. An argument could be made that Trent is a better pick than Salah at the moment and same with Rich over Son.

            The thing about strong 8th as 1st sub I don't like other than bench headaches if a defender misses he can't come on

            Could be cole palmer at his price but I'd probably want to start him often enough

            Yes good point, keeping son on WC so
            Son to richi gw21

              Not ideal booking a transfer the GW after WC. If setup with a weak bench due to not wanting a benching headache and you have to transfer out an injured player, you could be a transfer behind.

      Nearly scored. He's excellent, more direct goal threat from him compared to Digne but Digne has been really good in recent weeks too. My guess is they rotate over the busy period but like last season Moreno takes the spot after a short while. I have Digne and am benching next week assuming Moreno starts but I will likely make the switch on WC20, I can accept 1pters here and there given he's capable of coming on and getting a return

    This is why we love both watching the PL and playing FPL. It's hard to be sure exactly what will happen. If every outcome was what we expected, FPL for sure would have very little appeal.

            Surely a lot of people went Watkins anyway so damage will be fairly limited. IMO the bigger upside is a playing bench that could get you points at this time of year due to rotation. Certainly won’t be turning away my turkey!!

    So it seems Haaland is a no go this week. I'm thinking about hokey-cokeying Salah(c) in for Bruno, then back out and Haaland back in when fit. This is three transfers though. Or just deal with Baldock/Schar/Aerola/Turner..? I have 0.2m leeway to save enough for Haaland back. 2 FTs.

    Areola
    Porro SCHAR Gabriel
    Son Saka Odegaard Bruno Palmer
    Watkins Solanke

    Turner Alvarez Branthwaite Baldock
