Thoughts on the current draft? Feel like it’s well balanced, warming to Gabriel over Gvardiol/Porro.

Last tinkering could be Pope Munoz ESR to Henderson Myko and Nkunku?

    Pope
    Trent / Gabriel / Munoz
    Salah / Saka / Son / ESR
    Isak / Solanke / Wood

    Fab / Robinson / Barco / Rogers

      Much prefer Pope Munoz ESR

Not tempted on Solanke over Wood and Son to 7.5 ish?

    Morning all,

First RMT of the year. Locked in my front 3 but still tinkering with the rest. Any feedback appreciated.

    Henderson
    Gvardiol Saliba Hall
    Bruno Gordon Jota Nkuku
    Isak Haaland Solanke
(Fab Barco Quansah ESR) 0.0 ITB

    Cheers!

How is this defence? Who to bench with Barco? Algorithms says Porro

    Gvardiol Porro Quansah Hall Barco

probably quansah ye, could go gvardiol as well but then same kinda applies to what I said tho his goal threat might be limited this season

Quansah. Ipswich (A), early KO, looks a bit tricky to me. Still signs of Pool giving up chances in the way they're trying to play out from the back & this will be severely tested by Ipswich's pressing. Leicester attack is in pretty bad shape - think Vardy is injured & Daka has been awful

Effectively 3 of the 4 players you are bench boosting are defensive players in matches for teams who are second favourites in their GW1 match (Henderson, Munoz and Robinson). I cannot believe there will not be a better opportunity in the other 37 weeks for the BB to be used, even cropping up by accident.

Thought all that up myself naturally

    Hey guys..

Only started drafting my team, surprised at lack of love for Foden and KDB, why is this?

Also thought Cunha would have been in more teams

    1. Dutchy

Foden back next week according to Pep. KDB a touch expensive with Saka Son only .5 more. Especially with his age/others performing in the pre season.

foden won’t start gw1 and kdb may not as well, many prefer saka or even son to start with

cunha might come good but fixtures really tough to start with and a few good options at that price point

Ok I have a good gk, good defence, good 5 man midfield, good 2 man attack and 2 defenders on the bench that play. Is it therefore ok to just have a non playing fwd on the bench that just sits their being useless? It has helped me get a good team.

Thoughts on this draft, planning a GW6 wildcard and this currently leaves 0.5ITB

    Sels
    Gvardiol / quansah / Munoz
    Salah / Jota / ESR / Bobb
    Haaland / solanke / Isak

Bentley / brereton Diaz / Robinson / Barco

Depending on if nothing else comes up planning Jota & solanke > nkunku & Watkins in GW3

Sam Johnstone stripped of Crystal Palace No 1 jersey as he heads towards the exit door. The England keeper was informed of the news on Monday. Johnstone has asked to leave this summer. Multiple clubs interested

Hendo is a gift.. we are extremely lucky that we have him at 4.5 and the main reason for his pricing would ve been uncertainty due to johnstone plus injury doubts. With a 4.0 backup and with johnstone going there is no reason to not own him now

    Henderson 4.0
    Hall Robinson Murillo Barco Bellis
    Son Saka Jota Gordon Eze
    Haaland Isak 4.5

The defence is light. But rotates perfectly for me. Hall Robinson do carry a considerable attacking threat.

Is a Jota-Diaz double-up viable, and moreso, a good option?

Jota and Diaz both are a mins risk to Darwin and Gakpo, and neither have set pieces / penalties, however we saw that the penultimate preseason game showed that the former two are perhaps more likely to have a starting spot.

A Salah-less team could mitigate some of the risk of going without him with a Jota/Diaz pick, however with strong fixtures and both a respectable defense and seemingly fast and dangerous offense, could the Jota-Diaz pair be a worthwhile option?

Alternatively, is it better to either wait and see for minutes, or use the funds on another similarly priced mid, such as Gordon, Eze, or Bowen, each with their own respective pros and cons?

    1. luk46
      • 8 Years

I currently got jota, both probably too risky for me, it might be a good strategy to smash it early on and then wc once rotation starts

I think if you go without Salah you are almost forced into forcing Jota & Trent in, Liverpool could explode in the first 5 & if going Salah V Son/Son/Palmer then you need to cover Salah with some explosive Liverpool assets.

Just my 2C as a Liverpool fan - I think Jota will likely start GW1, but I have doubts he starts GW2. Slot has gone out of his way to publicly praise Nunez calling him central to their forward play etc. I would not get Diaz. He could be sold - reports are he has fallen out with the club and they are shopping him around so they can get Gordon. Diaz has also been a mediocre asset in the past. I understand the punt on Jota as he is explosive and has the upside and is going nowhere, Diaz not so much and is a transfer waiting to happen unless he somehow becomes something he has never been which is a consistent goal scorer.

It's close, but i prefer Gab & Salah.

Who would be your Arsenal defensive cover if you didn't have Gabriel?

Sorry mate, what do you mean? If I have Trent and Saka I could actually afford to double up on the Arsenal defence.

I have 1.5m in the bank with that combo and unsure of where to put it.
