Gameweek 26 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues with five Wednesday night matches, featuring the likes of Aston Villa, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Wednesday team news

Although Crystal Palace v Burnley will be delayed by 10 minutes, due to heavy traffic delaying the arrival of the Clarets’ team coach.

TEAM NEWS

Pep Guardiola has made two changes to the side that beat Liverpool at Anfield, as Phil Foden (£8.2m) and Ruben Dias (£5.5m) come in for Abdukodir Khusanov (£5.4m) and Omar Marmoush (£8.3m).

That means that Nico O’Reilly (£4.9m) remains in the XI, and Rayan Cherki (£6.5m) is a substitute.

Other notable news is that a slight knee injury is keeping Matty Cash (£4.9m) out of Villa’s lineup, but Jan Paul van Hecke (£4.5m) is back for opponents Brighton and Hove Albion.

In the first part of their Double Gameweek, Wolverhampton Wanderers are starting three players called Gomes alongside two Buenos. Yerson Mosquera (£4.3m), Tolu Arokodare (£5.4m) and Mateus Mane (£4.6m) get the nod.

They visit Nottingham Forest, who’ve decided to pick Lorenzo Lucca (£5.5m). This ends Igor Jesus‘ (£5.8m) streak of 17 successive starts.

Popular outfielders Erling Haaland (£14.9m), Antoine Semenyo (£7.9m), Marc Guehi (£5.2m), Hugo Ekitike (£8.9m), Virgil van Dijk (£5.9m), Florian Wirtz (£8.4m), Morgan Rogers (£7.6m), Harry Wilson (£6.0m), Daniel Munoz (£5.9m), and Joachim Andersen (£4.6m) begin from the start, but Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.7m) is suspended.

Sunderland are as expected, though are trusting January signing Nilson Angulo (£5.0m) for the first time.

43 points but barely a green due to not having JP or Semenyo! Annoying rank can depend on just two players

Stop it. I have JP Semenyo Sa and still only 44.

I too have Sa, I need to get at least Semenyo to make any gains even when my differentials do well

    Raya (expensive)
    Dubravka (no reason needed)
    Nunes (59 mins merchant)
    Alderete (injured)
    Keane (dropped)
    Rice (yawn)
    Enzo (useless when Palmer plays)
    Le Fee (blunt, but sexy)
    Ekitike (Darwin Mk II)

    Pull the wildcard trigger?

I intend to keep hold of Nunes. This is a rare scenario usually it's O'Reilly that goes off before the hour.

Disagree with Rice..Even though Arsenal will lose against Brentford and Win/draw against Wolves, He will be Arsenal's top points scorer this DBGMWK.
Definitely you need to WC, Keep Rice and Nunes [replace with O'Reilly] and BIN the rest.
Keeping blank 31 in mind [avoid CRY, bench Gab, Haaland and Semenyo], you need to be looking at Ast/Brentford/Sun for Keeper, Consider Double up on Liv [VVD and Wirtz], Need palmer, B. F, Semenyo, Rayan/Summerville in mid and Haaland, Thiago up top. Play about with the rest.

Roefs, Richards, Cash, and KDH on bench boost for a massive 4 points! My expectations were low but that is a joke! Just sacked myself as manager of my own FPL team.

Yeah, that's why I went for it instead of TC on an Arsenal player. Had no idea Cash would be out and Palace would lose the plot against Burnley! Brought in Henderson and Sarr from Palace too... Season well and truly over.

What a disastrous GW this is, only 14 points so far!!

More annoyed that I didn't bring in Semenyo or Joao Pedro for Ekiteke.... listened to the noise saying that I shouldn't transfer him out!

I'm glad I didn't bench boost. I was very close.

Darlow (che) Enzo (LEE) Chalobah (LEE) Reinildo (LIV)

Combined for a whopping 7 points.

2 FTs, would you consider Rice > Semenyo? Fallen 30pts behind my ML leader the last few weeks so need to attack the fixtures.
    Would leave me with this:

    Sanchez
    Gabriel, Timber, Mukiele
    Bruno F, Rogers, Semenyo, Enzo
    Haaland, Ekitike, Thiago

    (Dubravka, Lacroix, Senesi, Wilson)

      Lose Enzo, keep Rice.
You can also lose Wilson for Rayan and Drop Timber to Hill to see if you can get palmer.
Replace Senesi with an attacking 4.2/3..Aston villa or Maguire man u

    Which line is better?

    Lammens Darlow
    Gabriel Timber Nunes Chalobah Reinildo
    Fernandes Mbeumo Rogers Rice Enzo
    Haaland Pedro Mane

    3FTs, 0.0m ITB

    A) Mbeumo, Rice, Mane > Semenyo, Rayan, Thiago
    B) Rice, Mane > KDH, Thiago

I'm leaning A actually. I think Semenyo has enough upside to be worth the transfer and looking at how my team lines up, Rayan is going to have to be played many weeks and his fixtures are better than KdH plus he's more attacking.

Lol, fpl points page is a little messed up. Sa in my team shows: 9, NFO(A), ARS(H).

    GW 27 GTG?

    Raya
    Gabriel - Saliba - Richards
    Palmer - Bruno F - Semenyo - Mbuemo - Rogers
    Watkins - Pedro

    Verbruggen - Ekitike - Reinildo - Nallo

    Plan is

    GW 28 - Palmer + Watkins ➡ Haaland + Stach for -4
    GW 29 - Pedro ➡ Thiago
    GW 30 - Save
    GW 31 - Semenyo + Nallo + Richards ➡ Wilson + Konsa + Andersen for -4

After this FA cup weekend, does the picture around blanks/doubles get clear enough that those without a 32 WC can plan transfers?

I'm guessing it might clear a little bit won't be fully known until after the next round?

    • robbunt

        I've cracked and wildcarded:
        Martinez, Darlow
        Gabriel, Timber, Hill, Guehi, Dalot
        Semenyo, Mbeumo, Palmer, Bruno, Anderson
        Thiago, Pedro, Haaland
I'll almost certainly still make a transfer next week because I have self-control issues.

Given the sad state of premium assets the only high reward I can think of from selling Haaland is being able to afford Palmer or Salah

One has had 3 pens in 2 games and talks openly about not being fully fit. Chelsea are about to hit worse fixtures and Champions League games midweek.
The other has looked way below the standard all season
