Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is live for 2026/27, and the team reveals are flying left, right and centre!

But the question is: how does your own first draft stack up?

Well, now you can put your team to the test with Fantasy Football Scout’s free Rate My Draft tool.

Upload a screenshot of your FPL team and get an instant rating for your current squad.

Want to know how to improve? Chief Scout members (aka paying subscribers) get recommended transfers powered by our industry-leading Rate My Team (RMT) projections, plus ratings for every position in their squad, making weak spots easy to spot and even easier to fix.

GET YOUR TEAM RATED HERE

WHO CAN USE THE TEAM RATER?

Anyone with a free or paid-for Fantasy Football Scout account can use this rater.

However, you can also use Apple and Google sign-ins for a quick and easy way of getting a squad summary.

HOW MANY TEAMS CAN I HAVE RATED?

Assistant Scout (aka free) members of Fantasy Football Scout are permitted one screenshot upload – but you can have unlimited manual builds in our FPL Draft tool!

Chief Scout (aka paid) Members are allowed five screenshots. Again, they can tinker away to their heart’s content in the FPL Draft tool.

WHAT DOES THE TEAM RATER LOOK LIKE?

Upon uploading a screenshot of their squads, Fantasy managers will be presented with a breakdown of their squads based on our points projections:

FPL 2026 team rater

*some players will still feature in old kits/not have images until the new season begins

Chief Scout members then get recommended transfers, based on our points projections:

FPL 2026 team rater

These points projections will evolve over the coming month, as pre-season friendlies take place and transfers happen. For example, Rodrigo Muniz (£5.5m) fares very well for ‘expected minutes’ at the moment due to Fulham’s absence of senior positional rivals; Raul Jimenez has moved on now. Muniz’s projected game-time will obviously decrease if and when the Cottagers buy reinforcements up top.

DON’T FORGET OUR FPL DRAFT TOOL

Don’t forget that you can also use our FPL Draft feature to put together a squad with all the official FPL prices.

We hope you find these tools useful!

I'm not sure about so many Ipswich to get the BB benefit when playing Sunderland. If you're going that route, might be better to BBGW2 and go Coventry instead against Hull?

That's quite an expensive bench. If you've looked into good rotations, then all good. If not, then maybe drop one of the GKs to a 4.0 and Muha to Rodon to get an extra 1mil

I actually like the double utd mid, assuming its short term. atm i have the same, targerting those 2 early fixtures.

le fee is also a nice differential, worth a punt, am also considering similar although atm not currently in my team.

i think its solid, personally not on the szobo + ndiaye bandwagons, I think you'll be transferring them out within the first few gws if pks don't come in. they just aren't likely imo to be as attacking as the alternatives available, but thats a minority opinion here, i know the hive mind likes.

I like LeFee, but if you're not going to play him against Ipswich, is it even with having him? Downgrade to a 5.5/5.0 for the beech would be better?

      1. ItsComingHome123
        2 days, 15 hours ago

i could downgrade jacquet to a 4.5 like kadioglu then play le fee for first 2 then him for the next 2, which gives me 4 great fixtures.

Start Le Fee, or get Brobbey upfront. I’ve got him at the moment. Then can downgrade Jacquet.

Thoughts on Califiori starting over Hincapie? I’d like that double Arsenal defence, but unsure who the picks are excluding Gabriel.

don't understand this doubt over calafiori's mins.

he's one of arsenals best defenders. if he's fit, which he is currently, he starts.

    BB GW1 & No Haaland/Bruno/Gabriel. Thoughts?

    Verbruggen
    Tarkowski - Calafiori - Milenković

    Palmer (C) - Mbeumo - Cunha - Wirtz - Szoboszlai
    Isak - João Pedro

(Kinsky - Šeško - Murillo - N.Williams)

Will assess City players for GW3 captaincy.

Looks solid. Not sure about Wirtz, and not sure about Sesko's minutes, but we have pre-season to judge them.

I'm trying to get a bit of Sunderland in my BBGW1 too for playing Ipswich.

I think Foden might be the Man City pick for GW1, due to a full pre-season. Choosing between him & Wirtz
Ballard was in my team instead of Tarkowski, but don't really want Ballard long term.

If he looks good in pre-season, then Foden is definitely a good shout.

Maybe Ballard over Milekovic to start with? When Sunderland's European fixtures start up, ditch Ballard for Mile, or any other 4.5/5.0 defender who's started the season well.

Something tells me Ipswich are going to get something in GW1 vs Sunderland, but the GW2 fixture is tempting.
Only issue with starting with cheaper player is you could be priced out within days of season starting, which is why I'm tempted to just choose Wirtz & Milenkoviċ over Foden & Ballard/5m DEF

I think without those 3 I’d want Semenyo in my team.

A lot of risky picks in there. Shows why those Haaland and Bruno are so highly priced, to make you question whether it’s worth it. I think it is because of some of the value I see in cheaper players. Brobbey, Le Fee, DCL, Welbeck, Garner, Ndiaye, Sarr.

Long term, I'd agree with you about Semenyo. But if going for an early WC, then the early fixtures for Chelsea, ManU and Liverpool are good enough that I'd be happy to pass on him for now (even with Coventry in GW3) - that said, I am thinking of FH in 3

foden + saka + wirtz together is so risky, the chances of all 3 paying off are remote imo. altho in isolation I could justify all of them individually.

foden + saka, given the mins, will probably return but you're gambling they will straight from the bat. chancy.

wirtz probably will start and i am in the 'he'll be better this year' camp. but its also another risk you're taking.

Second draft, 91% rating for GW1.
How does this stack up here?

    Raya
    Timber, Tarkowski, N. Williams
    Bruno, Szoboszlai, KDH, Barnes, Gomez
    Haaland, JP

    4.0, Kadioglu, Thomas, 4.5FWD

I like it more than most of the Bruno Haaland double ups I've seen.

Timber obviously needs monitoring, but is an easy downgrade to another Arsenal defender if needed. Similar with Barnes being nailed, but if not there are plenty of other good 6.0s to move to - and if he's starting he could be great.

Yes, I could pivot to two 4.5GK and change Timber to Mosquera or Califiori, with the aim of BB GW2.

Personally I’m not too convinced of Spurs defence and Kinsky yet. They’re a wait and see for now. Lots of changes there, so I’d need to see if things will start to click.

Harry Wilson, though admittedly a risk going to a new club, I think he's going to be great. Wait and see what set pieces he takes away from Stach in pre-season though (and if Stach keeps them all, then he's great instead)

Wirtz will thrive in the #10 role or Iraola's system - if a 19 year old maverick (Koupi) can score 13 goals playing this role, then I'm very confident Wirtz can hit double figures for both goals and assists.

Also, whoever becomes the starting LWB in Alonso's 3-4-2-1 (Grimaldo got 14 goals and 33 assists in 89 starts) and Chelsea not in Europe.

Could this work? Supposing all fit and expected to start; BB GW1, Bruno Fernandes C GW1(hul) & GW2(IPS), get Haaland for GW3 by selling Bruno…

Calafiori (COV), Mosquera (COV), Shaw (hul), Gvardiol (BOU), Jacquet (new)
Bruno F.(hul), Semenyo (BOU), Gibbs-White (LEE), Sarr (eve), Dewsbury-Hall (CRY)

Weird question. There is nothing forcing you into those specific pairs. MGW Szobo is better than both options imo.

game used to be alot easier. now there are 13m players, rather than 3-5m, and there are about a billion fpl content creators on youtube who alot of people copy, so the edge you might've previously had, pouring over stats, xg, etc, is pretty diminished. same info is being digested in 10-15min videos by the masses. which is annoying.

I tried to make a few calculations on my own as to value. Some picks that keep showing up that Im not seeing a lot of is Okafor and Beto. A lot of my tinkering with different parameters also has Gibbs-White showing up as the best captain option for GW1.

Haaland basically never makes the cut in any value based team.

MGW is a decent bet, but Beto and Okafor are not starters in their teams...

Beto might start, but Barry is a threat to his minutes...

Okafor was a regular starter in the second half of the season, and Wilson is expected to replace Aaronson. Would expect Okafor to stay first choice. Need to monitor in pre-season though.

The top premiums never look good for value, but are the most reliable captains, so you pay extra for that reliability. The lack of value is why I'm only going one of Bruno and Haaland, with the occasional captaincy elsewhere.

If you want to go against it and rotate higher risk captains, then you'll lose out some weeks, but you'll also have more money to spread around the squad. High risk, high reward. I tried this for a couple of years, and it was so hard to get the right 'sub-premium' players at the right time to make up for the lack of reliability without the premium. Not a plan for me any more.

Good luck if you want to go for it though!

I agree. But Bruno seems a better pick for captaincy which makes Haaland redundant.

That's the route I'm probably going too. Likely to WC in the international break, and I like Bruno captain more times than Haaland in the first 5, so Bruno in and Haaland out for me.

Agreed. A lot of people (me included) are sleeping on MGW, he'll go well this season, as will the team under Glasner.

With Gomez out, surely Jacquet at 5.0 becomes a great option? I reckon he might be a defcon beast.

...and now for something completely different.

    [5-3-2] Lammens
    VVD, Calafiori, Kerkez, Mosquera, Maguire
    Saka, Cherki, Rogers
    Haaland, Isak

    (bench = Yarmoliuk and 3 x £4.5m)

Double down on defence for Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool.

I love it in theory, but I do think there's more value in attack this year. Last season, no one was truly awful defensively (even Wolves didn't really get battered). I don't think Ipswich, Fulham, Coventry, and especially Hull will be so solid this year. Targeting them could get you a lot more attacking value, which is why I wouldn't want to go a full 5 at the back. 4-4-2 maybe though?

Slight issue I have with all three mids:
Saka - with the depth Arteta has, I expect him to rest Saka occasionally, most probably in the easy games which is when we most want him.
Cherki - wait and see how he sits with whatever Cares Maresca

        (Hit post too soon)

Cherki - wait and see how he sits with whatever system Maresca uses (pre-season could show us a lot here)
Rogers - how quickly will he settle in at the new club. I do think he'll be a great option down the line though.

Yeah would definitely need 2 of my 3 starting mids to start. Yarmoliuk can cover the odd fixture as he is a steady eddy (averaged 3.53 PP90), but the other subs cannot be relied on.

Could you find 0.5 somewhere and get Gomes on the bench as well? I think his value was even better than Yarmo so the two together would be a decent safety net

Yes could downgrade Kerkez to Jacquet - this could potentially be an improvement as the bonus system favours centre backs.

I think the defence is really suspect and would like to wait and see first. VVD will get attacking returns and Defcons but he is ageing and looked off it a lot last season
