Yeah. United are unpredictable. Lost first game comfortably. Then won 5-2 today. Hence I'd wait a couple more weeks before building my team around Bruno + Haaland. WC is more important than OR this early, which xan easily swing back and forth first 5-6 GWs.

cherki is nice for a few gws while hes hot. otherwise i would rather keep mbeumo until first int. break then re-assess. mbeumo could easily get 15-ish points next 3 gws, and that'd have been a great start to the season for him

    6. SalahFingers

1 purely because you have Bruno.

Cherki is home to Coventry. Mbeumo is away to Everton.

I reckon Cherki will easily get more points in those games.

189 points here over the 1st 2 GWs. Delighted to be 2k rank. Real dilemma now with no Haaland. Already own Palmer. Would you just FH3 as opposed to WC3. Seems the sensible move..

Yeah, WC more precious long term. But you'd still want Haaland in your team permanently.

Problem with FH or WC to get in Haaland is he's still going to be TC by a lot of people. Tough call whether it's worth it to use a chip mostly to just not lose even more ground than you'd lose without Haaland.

      1. BrockLanders

Thats a good shout. I'm very tempted to just hedge with Cherki. Not sure I'm keen on FH3 aswell as the fixtures aren't great outside of City.

Thoughts on ARS vs CHE next gw ?

    I see goals

Bench the defenders and play all the attackers imo

Same for United Vs City in 4. Goals there as well.

United v City might see a few goals, but Arsenal defense too tight to be a goal fest. 3-1 is my guess.

up to arteta, big games last season he seemed to go really passive and no risks taken, they won the league pretty easily. not sure i can fully believe arteta won't resort back to similar tactics if it already worked. this whole odegaard talk, attack the league not defend it doesnt convince me at all tbh, its still arteta at the end of the day.

True but Chelsea won’t sit back which bodes well for ARS attackers

And, Chelsea attack are quite capable of a couple of goals

Not wise to bench any of Palmer, Pedro, Tzolis from a FPL perspective

barnes could've had 2 one on ones yesterday with a better first touch, and braced vs brom. elanga on form, people usually like the form players. sharing corner taking duties from the left, although i think elanga should be on those given his delivery while at forest

do think though that murphy is more competition for elanga than toure is for barnes just because toure is young and inexperienced. so maybe a plus for barnes' mins. barnes' goal scoring record as well kinda speaks for itself.

    1. SalahFingers

I personally wouldn't get Rogers AND Palmer.. especially when they are going against the best defense in the league next week (away to Arsenal)

Sboz is against Ipswich so I personally would go him in the shorter term. If you are ok with a bad GW3, then it's a toss up for me.

Rogers has the form, but not the fixtures. If Chelsea continue to score 3 or 4 every game, he'll be worth the money.

Wow well after that performance I'm thinking twice on wildcarding this team, tho I'm still thinking free hit to get haaland in, IV 2 free transfers and 0.5 it, any other ideas on what to do?

    Lammens
    Van dijk, white, Muharemović
    Bruno Fernandes, mbeumo, tzolis, semenyo
    Isak, DCL, Pedro

    Bench, verbruggan, ajer, schade, ballard

    1. SalahFingers

I personally would stick with your team. It's still mostly template. Maybe make 1 transfer. I personally wouldn't have both Bruno and Mbeumo.

All 3 of your strikers did well this week. I don't see replacing them as much of an upgrade (and yes I know we are talking about Haaland here at home to Coventry).

Yes. From the bottom part of the chips in the rules page:

"Please note that when playing either a Wildcard or your Free Hit chip, any saved free transfers are retained for the following Gameweek. If you had 2 saved free transfers, you will still have 2 saved free transfers the Gameweek after playing the chip."

No problems there. Man City and Liverpool have really good fixtures on paper.

I'd fancy a bunch of points in the Arsenal Chelsea game too but maybe not from the defenders.

I’m sticking with Foden (C), Semenyo, NOR as they are already in my team so it’s a yes from me.

Seems a shame to to rip up the structure of the team just to get Haaland in.

The season has finally started. Great to see attacking midfielders scoring. Enough of stocking up on boring CDMs.

      I'd do 1.

Szoboszlai's fixture is great, and he will likely get DC if not something else.

Save WC and go without Bruno, or use WC to get Bruno and forgo the opportunity to TC Haaland?

I definitely wouldn't sell him with Leeds and Coventry coming up.
