Hull City v Aston Villa rounds off the day’s Premier League action.

Kick-off on Humberside is at 17:30 BST.

If you’d said before the start of the season that one of these teams would be boasting a 100% record and two clean sheets after Gameweek 2, and the other would be pointless and goalless, most of us would have thought the hosts would be languishing at the foot of the Premier League table.

Instead, a three-goal win tonight moves the Tigers to the top of the division. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves…

TEAM NEWS

It’s one change apiece at the MKM Stadium.

Hull’s Sergej Jakirovic makes one alteration in midfield, bringing in one summer signing, Lucas Gourna-Douath, for another, Hidemasa Morita.

Deadline-day captures Christos Mouzakitis, Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Robinio Vaz and Sorba Thomas are all on the bench.

And, as happened in Gameweek 2, all of Hull’s first-choice bargain-bin defenders shrug off knocks and niggles to start.

Unai Emery’s only tweak sees Tyrone Mings come in for Pau Torres at centre-back.

One of Villa’s own deadline-day signings, Ibrahim Mbaye, is among the substitutes.

£4.5m midfielder George Hemmings starts again.

LINE-UPS

Hull City XI: Tzolakis, Coyle, Egan, Mendy, Ajayi, Giles, Belloumi, Slater, Gourna-Douath, Stroud, McBurnie.

Subs: Phillips, Thomas, Hjerto-Dahl, Norton-Cuffy, Herrington, Targett, Mouzakitis, Vaz, Cho.

Aston Villa XI: Suzuki, Cash, Lindelof, Mings, Maatsen, Barkley, Kamara, Buendia, McGinn, Jackson, Hemmings.

Subs: Bizot, Ruggeri, Torres, Garnacho, Abraham, Mbaye, Bogarde, Wan-Bissaka, Alysson.

LIVE GAMEWEEK PAGE + MATCH CENTRE

Mitchell was the obvious TC choice this week which nobody here or anywhere recommended. Think humans are quite poor at this game.

  5. Feel like I've wasted TC, but at least swerved wasting a FT on Cherki or Foden. 2 FTs banked so options for next week.

I guess he means the team you can build with the extra cash could outscore the template if Robot is limited to 1 goal +baps e.g. Isak, Saka, Palmer vs Haaland, Sangare, Cherki. Also like ditching Salah after AFCON in 24/25 season. He still scored goals but suddenly wasn't auto-captain anymore, spreading the cash around early in that scenario jumped you up the ranks. Obviously the risk Haaland gets back in the habit of banging in braces for fun is the billy big balls call you'd have to make.

it could for sure but i say this as a non owner, 24 points in 3 GWs with loads of new signings bedding in now and new manager is decent enough for him. almost every attack ends up near haaland with the wingers wide as well

Hull can go top if they win 3-0 or better.
No one in this match. But want to see Villa bust that Hull CS.
Didn't expect to be in this situation at the start of the season.

-4 bps for goal conceded by defenders was one of the worst moves fpl towers did imo in recent times

feel like it kinda led to the introduction of defcon in a way because defenders were just so down bad in points and needed a boost

It's GWs like this where I feel FPL/PL has become so boring... no options other than Haaland and maybe Bruno that you can rely on. No star power in other teams.

No "Son, Kane, Mane, KDB, Hazard" etc.

He has said a couple of times that he didn't as he forgot to hit save. He constantly lies about owning players he does not as well. Weird behaviour.

      2. I played but had someone complaining to me in WhatsApp group that they activated TC but not showing.
Turns out you have to click save afterwards, something I didn’t realise myself but must do out of habit

Nice prediction of Coventry moving to a back 3:
    https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/team-news

Thomas was the central guy though.

If that continues, Thomas and Egan could soak up the defcons this year. Like budget Lacroix's.

Should we just accept that unless your players are constantly scoring you will at some point have to absorb a drop in players value.
