Manchester United have this evening confirmed that their recently postponed home time with Hull has now been rescheduled to be played on Saturday January 23rd, when most other teams have FA Cup fixtures.

Manchester United and Hull now look most likely set to have a double gameweek on the cards for gameweek 22 (or at worst, no missing fixture in gameweek 23). Not much time to get your planning hats on, but possibly a great advantage over our less eagle eyed opponents were it to happen. Perhaps this may even help us get over our recent snown blown double gameweek disappointments….

If you don’t already have a full set; then stocking up on Manchester United players would appear to be a good way forward. With a double header against Burnley and Hull (both at home) on the cards the expectations over the heads of Messrs. Rooney, Valencia, Giggs, Evra and co will be large – can they make all of our wishes come true? Here is to hoping.

We mustn’t forget Hull will also be equally likely have two games, so there’s always the chance Stephen Hunt will be poking his pesky little head around the corner again after a very successful spell with two fixtures in gameweek 13 – can he do the same away at Spurs & United? Heck, if he gets gametime maybe even Geovanni would be a leftfield bet, lest we forget he scored at Old Trafford last season – albeit before Hull having since been somewhat ‘found out’.

However, one thing must be remembered that started this all – this fixture was moved because of Manchester Uniteds need to play their Carling Cup second leg during gameweek 23, so anyone you have for this tempting little doubler – will also need to be sold or sitting on your bench the following week.

And of course, until FPL adds the fixtures to their schedules, we cannot categorically prove or deny in what week these fixtures will eventually lie.

Right then, go get your planners out.
