Gameweek 26 – The FPL Captain Poll
Right then, we’ve only just swallowed down the gameweek that was 25, where Wayne Rooney delivered as expected and brought home the bacon and Didier Drogba continued in his blistering form as if he’d never been away.
However, with another batch of fixtures right around the corner closing in on us already, it’s time to weigh up the options for our fantasy armband in what will be another FPL double gameweek.
With Manchester City, Bolton, Stoke and Wigan all having the luxury of two games rather than one this week I imagine their players will catch more than a few eyes – but these aren’t your Rooneys or Fabregas’ we’re talking about, so I’m sure there will be a certain level of trepidation in doing so. Maybe Drogba away at Everton might be tempting instead, perhaps Jermain Defoe at Wolves or even Rooney himself at Villa Park?
Either way, we haven’t got much time so get voting and use this post as your platform for discussion.

United’s back four has been solid now that Van der Sar has returned, I find it hard to see Villa scoring on the form United’s defense is on now anyways..
I had this mischievious dream that I’d take an 8 pt hit on getting Drogba and Etherington for Tevez and Duff.

What you guys think, also why everyone talking about Tevez, havent seen much about Adebayor for captain in double game week? I think tevez has had his puple patch and Adebayor is hitting some form, 2 in 2 for him now.

As Etherington’s price went up last night, with 180% NTIs, what % does he have to get up to for another price rise?
Is it 200% or 300%
Twice as many transfers in as for the first price rise will be needed. That will be automatically calculated at FT for example though, so the number he needs to reach there is 100%

Fabs / Duff / N’Zog / Lamps
Tevez / Roon / Drog
(Robinson / Ridgewell / Foley / Jarvis) 0.4 in bank
I was thinking of bringing either in Caldwell for Foley or McCarthy for Jarvis for the double GW. Favouring Caldwell given I already have N’Zog, but my dilema is, who would I bench?
Your opinions or thoughts appreciated.
Your team looks solid to me. you could bring in McCarthy and start him ahead of Duff, provided it doesnt cost you a 4pt hit.
Id captain Tevez or NZogbia out of those.
At the back, I have the same dilemma myself of whetehr to start Ivanovic as I think Everton will score against Chelsea, but who would bet against Chelsea at the mo? Ridgewell might be worth putting in, away at West Ham who are awful at the minute. Something tp ponder in the next 33 hours or so.
Have to set my team today. Is it worth starting Cahill in case he recovers or better putting Evra or A.Cole IN? (can’t decide which one to bench! Have Baird, A.Cole, Cahill as it stands).

leaves me 2.5 mill in the bank to swap Tevez for Drogba next week, the thing is i’ll only have 0.1 to spare so any prices rises for Drogba (inevitable) will leave me unable to do it.
shall i take a 4 point hit to bring drogba in now, tevez is on a double though
or i could put someone cheaper than Hughes or N’Zogbia in to make sure got plenty spare cash left
