The Scout’s Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Classic League has now been renewed and is open for registration. Those who participated in our league last season will have been automatically renewed as members of our league again this term.

If you’re new to the Scout, then you’ll need to go to the league page on the FPL site, click “Join a League”, select “Private League” and enter the following code – 40184-13425. You’ll find this code on the homepage, in the middle column, from now on.

What do you get if you win the Classic League? Huge kudos and a place in the hall of fame alongside Jon Reeson, Chris McGurn and last season’s winner Gary McLean. Plus, of course, if you’ve won the Scout league, you’re likely to be right up there with the best FPL managers, challenging for the top prize. Two of the last three FPL Champions have come from the Fantasy Football Scout League, while Gary McLean ranked third overall last season, missing out on the crown on the final day by just ten points. In other words, the standard is pretty bloody high.

We’ll be putting together regular league updates on the site, tracking the progress of the front runners as the Gameweeks roll by and those tussling at the top will, of course, get regular mentions in the ScoutCast.

We will also be launching a Members League – details of that will be appearing in the Members area early next week.

Similar to my team except I have De Gea and Federici (much better imo). Stephen Taylor offers much more attacking threat (should be nailed on). And I have Pog and Tevez instead of Aguero and Graham so I could afford Ben Arfa instead of Noble and I had Terry over Cole as he also offers more going forward.

First year of FPL but tear me a new one on this RMT:

    Begovic – Jassk
    Cole – Lescott – Cuellar – Hangeland – Wilson
    Hazard – Kagawa – N’Zog – Noble – Maloney
    Aguero – Torres – Graham

    Key notes:
    1. Begovic and Jassk rotate well
    2. So do Cuellar/Hangeland/Wilson
    3. Tossing up between Kagawa and Valencia, gone Kagawa cos I’m a Jap ;)
    4. Hazard could become Bale by GW3
    5. Have 2.0 in the bank for Torres -> Rooney in GW2

      Haha, yeah very similar.

Although Colccini is a solid player, I went with Wilson since he’s nailed on and Stoke rotate better with Fulham and Sunderland. Also he’s 0.5 cheaper.

I think N’Zog can be great value under Lambert but I can see Pienaar dominate if he returns to Everton

“I love to attack and I love to go up front...It is a little more difficult than when you are playing centre-back. If you play the way that I want to play, I think my influence is better as a left-back. For the team, it is best that I play as a centre-back. I like to bring the ball out. You need to move the game quickly, and that is one of my qualities as well.”

Jan Vertonghen outlines what he feels is his best position for Andre Villas-Boas
