This evening we roll out the draw for the Second Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, sponsored by Paddy Power. The ties, which will be played over Gameweek 13, hand defending champion Wild Rover another tricky task – he’s up against Laser314, who sits just outside the top 5,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers.

Amongst the contributors, Granville goes head-to-head with dullardinho, with Mark’s podcast sidekick the highest-ranked of the pair, whilst our Suspension Tightrope expert Anarok is a slight underdog against DrD.

Looking at some of the former winners, Goonerdave is a hot favourite against viewoftheland – he’s almost 500,000 places ahead of his opponent in this week’s standings. Similarly, sleepingmaster is odds-on against ChickenDevil, though Jonty has a tougher time of it in an encounter with Birthday Sess. Donnellyc has been matched with 99% Dullard, who sits around the 1.3 million mark, while MCH undoubtedly has the hardest task of any our previous winners – he squares up to PGL NIL SATIS, who is ranked 532nd overall.

  1. On the lookout for a defender at no more than 5.2m. Already have Chico and Gabbidon.

Caulker, Evans, Distin. Who would you pick of these?

Or is there anyone else you could recommend?

    1. Evans now, Distinct from GW16 IMO

      1. Evans is a good shout but might advise waiting a couple of weeks. Ron Vlaar an option to consider, I think.
