The Dugout Discussion – Sunday

With Aaron Ramsey’s latest points haul still resonating within the Fantasy Football community, we now look forward to Sunday’s quartet of matches which promise to round the Gameweek off with a bang.

Proceedings begin early, with the midday kick-off at the Lane finding a Spurs side desperate to recover from their Etihad mauling against champions United. With Andre Villas-Boas on the tightrope and Wayne Rooney in red-hot form, the day looks set to get off to an intriguing start.

That’s followed by Liverpool’s visit to the KC Stadium, as Luis Suarez looks to claim his latest set of points against a Hull defence that has allowed just two goals in front of their own fans. A pair of late afternoon kick-offs come next, with Chelsea taking on Southampton at the Bridge, while City’s steamrolling home form is set to go through the gears again as Swansea draw up in Manchester.

With Rooney, Suarez and Sergio Aguero on show and sporting the armband for so many Fantasy managers, today’s events are set to cause a major swing in the ranks and mini-leagues.

The early team news from North London finds Rooney safely snuggled in the United attack although, once again, Robin van Persie is absent. The Dutchman doesn’t even make the matchday squad as his Fanatasy stock continues to diminish at pace. David Moyes is able to welcome back Nemanja Vidic, however, and he takes his place in a back four alongside Jonny Evans, with Chris Smalling at right-back. Phil Jones occupies a midfield role once more, while Shinji Kagawa earns only his third league start of the season.

Villas-Boas shuffles again, making an array of changes from the side that was humiliated at City. Nacer Chadli earns a recall on the flank, whle Mousa Dembele is also back in the lineup in the middle of the park: Lewis Holtby and Erik Lamela make way. Meanwhile, at the back, Vlad Chiriches replaces Younes Kaboul who drops to the bench.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and available throughout all today’s matches, right up until the final whistles at Stamford Bridge and the Etihad.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If Oscar is out for any length of time I am very tempted by Sess + Oscar to Nasri and Walcott

Does anyone think this'd be a bad move?

Hull defense is not bad and then fixtures turn for arsenal, why are people looking at arsenal attack double and triple ups?

      Yes, but low.

I'd say Welbeck is 80-90% likely to start

My problems are threefolds -: Barkley, Turner, Chester

I know these are budget players, but they are slowly becoming a thorn on my side, as they lead to lack of options.

    Mignolet / Marshall
    Coleman / Ivanovic / Clyne / Chester / Turner
    Barkley / Özil / Morrison / Ramsey / Amalfitano
    Agüero / Rooney / Suárez

1 FT, £0.9m in the bank.

Thinking of Barkley -> Brady and Turner -> (Someone who rotates with Clyne)

    Suggestions?

I sense an Aguero exodus if he blanks again. Very tough fixture list for a team that doesn't perform away

Why on earth FPL just can't follow the rules which they've made

How on earth Cabaye & Jones get those assists after removing one of Silva's during 7-0 thrashing of Norwich?

    Took Benteke out last night.

With Boruc injured that will probably haunt me midweek.

Torn on Oscar. He hasn't really been all that productive for the price. And there might be a better mid on the same team (we all know who).

    Nasir? Someone else?
