The Weekend Team News

Mesut Ozil is expected to return for Arsenal’s trip to Hull. Daniel Sturridge remains a doubt as Liverpool head to Norwich. Loic Remy is back in training ahead of Newcastle’s clash with Swansea. Wayne Rooney may return for United, Artur Boruc is back for Southampton and Moussa Dembele is available for Tottenham again:

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Kieran Gibbs is out of Arsenal’s trip to Hull, though fellow left-back Nacho Monreal, along with Mesut Ozil, could be in line for a return to action. Mathieu Flamini is also available following a two-match suspension.

Paul Lambert welcomes back Leandro Bacuna for Villa’s home game with Southampton after the defender recovered from a hamstring problem.

Phil Jagielka is “unlikely” to make Everton’s home game against United, Roberto Martinez has admitted. The Toffees have no new injuries, with Steven Pienaar potentially returning in time for the Gameweek 37 visit of Man City.

Fulham’s on-loan midfielder Lewis Holtby is unable to face parent club Tottenham at White Hart Lane this weekend. Record signing Kostas Mitroglou remains sidelined with a knee injury, Cauley Woodrow is back in training after recovering from a dead leg.

Brendan Rodgers has admitted Daniel Sturridge “may struggle” to make Liverpool’s trip to Norwich on Sunday, with the forward set to be assessed over the next couple of days.

David Moyes’ pre-weekend press conference has yet to take place as it is scheduled for later today, though the United boss has reportedly confirmed at a FWA managers’ lunch yesterday that Wayne Rooney is expected to be passed fit for Sunday’s trip to Everton.

Alan Pardew will make a late call on the availability of Loic Remy and Mathieu Debuchy after the pair returned to full training ahead of Newcastle’s home game with Swansea. Hatem Ben Arfa is “struggling” with a dead leg picked up during last week’s loss at Stoke. Davide Santon is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.

Artur Boruc is fit to face Villa this weekend, according to Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino. Gaston Ramirez is sidelined with an ankle injury for the Saints.

Charlie Adam is expected to be in the Stoke squad to face Cardiff after undergoing surgery on a broken nose earlier in the week. Oussama Assaidi returned to training yesterday but the match will “probably come too soon” for the wide man, says Mark Hughes. Matt Etherington remains out with a back problem.

Kevin Nolan has recovered from the hamstring injury that forced him to miss the midweek trip to Arsenal, Sam Allardyce has confirmed. James Collins and Joey O’Brien are also back for the Hammers’ home game against Palace.

Chico Flores serves the first of a two-match ban as Swansea head to Newcastle this weekend. According to local press reports, Garry Monk will give Michu “every chance” of making the trip to St James’ Park after he missed out with an ankle complaint last time around.

Moussa Dembele is back in the Tottenham squad to face his former club Fulham after recovering from injury. Michael Dawson and Roberto Soldado are both back in training, whilst Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Walker, Etienne Capoue and Erik Lamela remain out, with Tim Sherwood admitting the latter won’t feature again this season.

How does this look guys ?

    Marshall
    azpi evra ward (Chester stones)
    Salah eriksen Silva Mutch (aj)
    Rooney Suarez aguero

    Gw 36 save ft
gw 37 eriksen salah Suarez out for nasri mata and podolski ( 1 week without Suarez I have a sv of 13.2 anyway)

    Gw 37 team

    Mannone
    Azpi evra Chester
    Mata Silva nasri aj
    Rooney podolski aguero (c)

I have a low tv so if I want a decent team I'll have to risk going suarezless for a week

I would start with a 40 point lead

Yes he is an option but off pens for me his appeal is as high as nasri both capable of scoring through open play.
Would you take the Suarez punt for gw 36 or just 37 if you were me?

Surely Chelsea will be hard to score past?

If Suarez is to notch vs Chelsea it will be just one imo. Defenders all over him. Think you can compensate with your alternate options for 36 & 37.

Hi all - any suggestions on the following squad. Currently in 1st place by 38 points in my work league.

0 FT(s) - already brought Gerrard in for Yaya.

Any suggestions? Should i do the following:
    Mirallas > Ramsey
    Mirallas > Lallana
    Mutch > Punchenon
Lukaku > Giroud (I might still be drunk from last night doing this)

    Speroni > Mannone
    Coleman – Azpilicueta – Mariappa > Gabbidon – Bennett
Gerrard – Mirallas – Erikson – Mutch > El Ahmadi
    Suarez © - Aguero – Lukaku

    Cheers!
