Here’s our regular update on the competition, featuring a look at the semi-final matches that took place over Gameweek 10. We also have some fun handing out some Matchday Awards and a look ahead to this weekend’s third place play off. Please use this article for all tournament chat.

SEMI FINAL RESULTS

The Semi Final results have been updated in the Cup spreadsheet and we can reveal that Argentina and New Zealand will face off for the 2014 FFS UEFA Hockey World Cup in the Final next weekend after comprehensive victories over Spain and England respectively. Meanwhile, the unsuccessful Semi Finalists, England and Spain, will face off for third place this weekend.

SEMI FINAL AWARDS

Louis van Gaal Award for the best attack – New Zealand with 809 goals

A Rainy Night at Britannia award for the best defence – Netherlands conceding just 695 goals

Salma Hayek Overnight Award for the player of the week – Walsh (New Zealand) with 101 goals

SAF Management Award – Zep with 96% manager rating

Hot Urine Treatment for the highest point scorer on the bench – Jafalad (New Zealand) and TW (Spain) with 78 goals each

Dalglish Differential for the worst team selection – Declan (Spain) with a 91% rating

Miles's prediction: Liverpool have lost their spark and while Chelsea are pushing forward more this season, they have kept their defensive solidity. They are just not letting in any goals. 0-2

Erm yes they are miles. They're letting in quite a lot of goals ... I actually fancy sterling to get something out of this game.

Thanks to JTD and his team for such a closely contested match. What a finish. Of course thanks to ENR, Billy and Pratik who have done a stellar job again and made Fpl even more enjoyable than usual. Thanks to my team mates and congrats for getting so far. Even though I outscored each and every one of you 😉 I don't think I did the competition justice with how little I posted this time around but I'm still happy to have taken us this far. Viva Espana.
