Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 38

In our final head-to-head with Paddy, we’ve invested faith in Arsenal’s English speedster, Everton’s robust frontman and Stoke’s man of the moment.

Our first, and favourite, wager of the week has us backing Theo Walcott to net his third goal this campaign. Arsene Wenger looks set to slightly rotate ahead of the Gunners’ FA Cup final, which should afford the fleet-footed winger his first start since Gameweek 29. Considering the North London club has conceded just one goal in their last three home ties, Paddy’s 11/4 odds on Walcott to score and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet against West Brom tempted us to part with our first £4.

It’s been a lucklustre season for Romelu Lukaku, but the imposing Belgian has finally hit some form in recent weeks, notching two goals in three starts. No striker came close to mustering as many attempts on goal (nine) as Lukaku last Gameweek, which – coupled with the fact that Tottenham drew blanks in two of their previous three match-ups – encouraged us to take up Paddy’s 33/1 offer on Lukaku to score two or more goals and Everton to keep a clean sheet.

Charlie Adam – the target of our final bet this Sunday – has been a revelation of late, tallying four goals in seven starts. The Scottish midfielder ranks third over the last six Gameweeks in terms of attempted shots (35), behind Philippe Coutinho (30) and Alexis Sanchez (29). Considering Liverpool chalked up a solitary goal in their last three road matches, we’re liking Paddy’s 18/1 offer on Adam to score and Stoke to keep a clean sheet and handing over our remaining £3.

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Tough one, Hull are at home so slightly more chance of a CS, but neither team are likely to get a CS. Bertie more attacking potential so might get an assist etc

    How am I looking?

    Ospina
    Moreno, Terry, Schlupp
    Sanchez, Silva, Bolasie, Hazard*
    Kun (c), Kane, Vardy

    Casper// McCarthy/ PVA/ Toby 0FT

I'm taking a punt on Bolasie and McCarthy if Haz doesn't play

take a punt on walcott/silva for hazard, coz i think city southampton will be high scoring & walcott looks in great form, could have scored against sunderland. hazard definitely won't play, but mccarthy will be mostly a 2 pointer. surely, a prime mid will score 6 or more.

Current team and 18ts leading my money league.

    Mignolet, Hamer
    Terry, Dawson, Skrtel, Bertrand, Dawson
    Sanchez, Hazard, Ramsey, Henderson, Boyd
    Aguero, Benteke, Giroud

    0.0 ITB and 1FT

Worried about Ramsey getting rested so with the following for a hit to cover:

    Thoughts on:

    Hazard, Boyd to Silva, Young

Anyone thinking Hazard WILL play? I'm struggling to bring myself to get rid. I'm grappling with:
    a) fab + rose > silva + wasilewski (double-up with huth)
    b) fab + haz > silva + milner (think my preferred mid; got 3 ars so no space for walcott)

2FTs. Small mini-league lead - Help much appreciated?!

The rival's team should score more than mine on a normal day.
And, I am afraid of Bellerin or/and Ozil being rested.

    So, should I:

    1) Moreno -> Ivanovic (Jag and PVA to come in if both Arsenal players are rested)
