I started posting straight away, then done a spot of lurking. Went back to posting the was unwell for a bit, didn't really visit at all. Now feeling better and back posting. Not that I post anything that's entirely useful or relevant 🙂

I still lurk! have done since i started playing FPL!

This site has been round for 12 years?!

I don't even know when i first visited the site, maybe 3 years or so ago

I'd also not realised just how long I'd been using the site. 12 years is a good long while.

I can't remember when I first joined but it was a completely different look now and was much less busier. I used to lurke in the shadows for a year or so at least. When it got it's first re-design into the forum format I started posting I believe

I started commenting pretty much straight away however I still lurk some of the time - especially those weeks when I'm not doing well in FPL

I've been posting for last two years, and started lurking this season .

I think i first used this site in the 11/12 season and like yourself spent a time lurking before eventually starting to post

I joined last year and lurked for the majority of it. It was my first season though and I felt like a massive FPL noob.

Comment a bit more frequently now. Think I understand the format better and what's worthwhile posting.

I think you might be out by a year and a half if memory serves me right. late 2006 I think.

The site doesn't really come across as useful when you first join. Too many people posting RMTs all the time just turned me off and I didn't trust if with so many RMTs, my own RMT would be answered well/seriously. It needs that lurking time to make your own mind up about transfers by reading various responses before eventually posting.

Lurked for a good couple of years before posting, far from frequent now but allot more active than I once was

Oh and by lurker I mean full on, like I didn't even bother registering for two years as I didn't make a single post.

There has been a lot of animosity today for lurkers since the cup draw. 🙂

I dove straight in and have been contributing pearls of wisdom ever since fast rising as one of the best posters to grace this site after Ruth and Fpl Virgin.

I've just realised the main reason I never posted.

I used to only play TFF back in those days and never had and FPL team until a few years later. So just used the site for information for my TFF team.

Erm, didn't Fantasy Football Scout start in 2007?

Joined in late 2008 and got my dead team into the top 2K thanks to FFS.
Wasn't really poster friendly then as such and was mainly a place of article and information. The next season saw changes and posting became much easier.

I'd probably still be lurking if I hadn't moved to NZ. Now I log on every day at the quietest time on FFS and contribute a bit.

Used to post a lot when I discovered this site as a masters student in 2011. Much busier nowadays though so often only have time to lurk and skim through comments using 'sort by rating'

Direct dive,help me a lot last season when i was rank 2M and got to 300k in last 3-4 weeks.
Now 180k but still learning.

This is my second full season here. Found the site around September of 14/15 season mainly searching for Captian picks.

My relationship with this site is really interesting. At least for me. Last season, I used to have a friend who was a casual fpl player. One day he asked for some team suggestions and I told him to get ozil and Mahrez. Then he started performing well and we got interested in the game. Both of us used to manage the same team.
Back then, I used to use other similar sites to get some more information. But after a while, my friend wanted me to stop advising him on his team.
So I started my own team for the last 4 weeks and finished it. Then came the Euros and I started using ffs more. After that, I came to know that anybody could post here. So to gain an advantage over my "experienced fpl player" friend, I became more involved here. This year, I have not used any other site even once and am quite ahead of my friend.
I was a lurker for 3-4 months before I started posting here.

I dived straight in in 2009 and have gradually retreated into lurking - only really emerging for a bit of pre-deadline team news modding when family commitments allow.

It's not because the site has changed (and it has, mostly for the better), I've just lost my taste for expressing opinions on the internet, this is now literally the only place I ever do it (no social media, no other forums, nothing).

Occasional plunge but lurking for the most part.

I started visiting FFS about 3 seasons ago, although started posting and commenting this season.

I'm mainly a lurker at heart and an occasional poster. I'd call myself a plurker.

it was similar for me. I discovered the site after first listening to the podcast, think in about 2008. Then started posting in 2009.

I'm still mainly a lurker. Never posted until this year.

Considering that I only post when I'm doing well, I've been quiet for the last couple of seasons...

Was a casual until the 2012-2013 season. Discovered the site in late 2011-2012 because I finally twigged that some people knew when prices would rise before they happened, and I wanted to know how. 🙄

Lurked for the last month of that season and then through the Euros, and got confident enough to post in the run-up to the 2012-2013 season. It's kind of embarassing, because I was like a kid getting ready for the first day school, with his new ring-binder and pencil case. I got my grav all figured out, came up with what I thought was a cool handle (had Jelavic in my team at the start), and made my first post fully-grav'd, announcing myself to the FFS world. 😆

I think Doos was the only reply, but I grew into it, and later that season I was the runner-up in the Members Cup (lost to Acquafrescaa in the final because I did not have RVP). Since then been mostly a poster until this year. Lurked all of this season until this IB, when I suddenly had some time on my hands, and things had slowed down a bit on FFS. Unlike Stilicho I can't say I find most of the changes for the better, although many are. I think the effects of success and growth are just not for me, and I will probably return to intermittent lurking when the crowds return.

Been posting 6/7 years I reckon, started posting straight away - never hesitated, I loved the culture and the characters on the site back then, I tend to lurk a lot more these last two years and play Candy Crush instead.
If someone were to research it I think you may find a direct correlation between posting and a 'decent' rank.

I used to post a lot more the last 4 seasons I have been using the site but this season I went traveling for 6 months so less time to be online.

Been posting nearly as long as I've been playing FPL - so nearly 7 years.

As soon as my mates started a league I googled "FPL Tips" or something similar and found FFS - been here ever since 🙂

Still visit nearly every day although I don't have the time to post as much as I'd like - usually in the mornings these days!

I used to be a major poster since the site was very young, but have generally lurked over the last few years. probably a lot less concerned about the game, and with so many people on here its much harder to have an original thought that's worth posting.

It helps to be a poster as that's the only way enough people respond to your questions.

Just takes alot of time posting frequently.

Started fpl last year and was pretty casual, used to pop on here for the Friday team news. Lurked throughout the Euros and preseason but decided to take the plunge after quitting my job to work from home and needing a little social interaction. I generally check in a few times a day and lurk about a bit, posting when I feel I have something to contribute, which is often just flippant remarks.

First full FPL season was 12/13 when I stumbled on this site trying to get an edge in the works ML after a colleague roped me in. Rekindled my FF senses after doing the newspaper ones in the 90s where I did the admin on a works one. Gives me a chance to shoehorn in a true story about a girl who honestly won my league by picking her team based.on rude names - she had the likes of Seaman, Dicks, Dichio, Dixon, Le Tissier (she said it sounded horny) - just wish I could remember others!

This place has been a major reason why I've had 3 sub 10k seasons after the poor first one when I thought loads of transfers made me look like a real manager! Well remember Doosra being the first to welcome me unlike a lot of cliques on here - total gent. Fantastic information available and some serious knowledge. I don't really post that much as I don't feel I have much to offer that is not obvious. I enjoy watching the banter and wit (of varying levels) but being honest I'm here to weigh up all the data options and win my ML, with a secondary sense of pride on rank. Lets face it most people on here if you are a serious player are likely rank rivals.

I dived in and promptly pee'd off half the forum with silly comments. Tamed my enthusiasm a bit since 🙂

Bit of a lurker...

Post when I have time to follow them up for while afterwards. Lurk daily alot of the time and if I post I also reply to ensure I give back what I take. Great site and the only social media I actually like reading a posting on. Great work Mark!

Discovered the site through TFPL, around 2008/2009 season. Definitely poster, rarely lurker. Back when the likes of DBRonaldo, Jamsiep, RBH, Akers, Soop, greekfan etc. were regular posters.
