Dugout Discussion – Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Double Gameweek 37 finally comes to an end this evening as Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to-head at the King Power Stadium at 7.45pm.

After grabbing his side’s second in Sunday’s win over Man United, Harry Kane is now just two goals behind Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Golden Boot.

Having returned eight goals and three assists in his last seven starts, the Spurs striker has been handed the armband by 5.5% of FPL managers – more than any player in tonight’s encounter.

For Christian Eriksen’s 18% FPL owners, the Double Gameweek serves up one final twist – the Dane drops to the bench tonight after earning eight points against United last weekend.

Elsewhere for the visitors, Dele Alli starts as he looks to arrest a run of one goal in his previous four – the midfielder was transferred out by 56,000 FPL managers ahead of Tottenham’s pair of fixtures.

The hosts’ Jamie Vardy is the eighth most popular armband pick (2.4%) of Double Gameweek 37 on the back of seven goals and five assists in 11 appearances since Craig Shakespeare took the helm.

Meanwhile, Foxes wide man Marc Albrighton has flourished as a budget asset across that period, producing two goals and five assists in 10 outings under the new man in charge.

    How did everyone score? Any Kane triple captainers out there? I hot 183 my highest ever score. Im sure there will be quite a few 200+. Does this mean Kane will be less motivated for goals having surpassed Lukaku by 2 goals with the latter set to play away to Arsenal. Lots to think about. I know I will be strongly considering Kane (c).

          Nice. Excellent scoring. As the guys on Scoutcast have said many times we tend to think "oh everyone has him" but FFS is a relatively small community. Kane is only owned by 20% KDB 10% and Jesus 12%. We were all talking about these players and it was a perfect storm this week for most. Lets hope GW38 offers more luck.

      I'm 43 points ahead in ML with my nearest rival still having a TC, 2 FT but no Kane.

      Even I'm not getting carried away. Poor lad led all season, only just overtook him. God bless Harry Kane.

        Last night I was 12 points behind my rival; 2nd place in my ML he had Eriksen left to play.

        I asked how many points Vert, Alli and Kane might get me and said I would take a 4 points lead at the end of tonight's game.

        Now 19 points ahead

    Poor season for me overall, but one small success:

    Played bench boost this GW and it was the highest total of bench points I've had all season at 23 - and I genuinely benched the players I would have if it was a normal GW 🙂
