Welcome to the latest update from the Community Watch Tournament. Roughly a month ago we submitted an article inviting you to be part of this new contest. Since then the response has been overwhelming and we thank you for that.
For a quick recap this is how the tournament works. Each team will have 10 members. Seven players will start in a Gameweek, including a weekly captain who will score double points. The remaining players will be on the bench for that Gameweek. The 20 teams will compete in a head-to-head league

Bidding Details
Now onto the bidding details. After much discussion, we’ve decided to try and keep it as straightforward and lucid as possible. There will be exactly 10 players per team including the manager. The remaining 180 non-managing players will be broken up into five tiers based on previous FPL performance. There will be six rounds of bidding as follows:
Round 1 – Tier 1 players (Deadline 8th September)
Round 2 – Tier 2 players (Deadline 10th September)
Round 3 – Tier 3 players (Deadline 12th September)
Round 4 – Tier 4 players (Deadline 14th September)
Round 5 – Tier 5 players (Deadline 16th September)
Round 6 – “Homeless players’’ (Deadline 18th September)
Each manager will be armed with a war-chest of 200 million. Each round they will be able to submit integer-valued bids for players in that tier. You cannot place more than six bids per round.
The manager who bids the highest amount will win that player. You cannot bid for the same player more than once per round. The total amount of bids you place in a round should not exceed your budget.
In the event of a tied bid, the player will get to decide where they go. If they don’t respond within eight hours of being notified we will decide it by coin toss.
All of the players that are yet to be assigned a team after the first five rounds will all then be included in the “homeless players’’ round. Any player still without a team after that round will be automatically assigned.
A player can reject signing for a team only once. Then the player will go to the next highest bidder. After the bids are processed the players will receive an email, showing them the team they have been assigned. If a player wants to reject the team then he should reply to us via email within eight hours of being notified.
Similarly a manager can release a player only once before Round 6. All the released players will be available for bidding in Round six.
The list of players placed in different tiers can be found here.
Players are broken into tiers based on the average rank of the last three seasons. The order of players in a tier is also according to the rankings.
Further details
Managers will be bidding via forms just like they used to apply for the tournament. The form will be sent to them shortly. A manager may appoint an assistant manager to bid on their behalf, but this must be somebody they already have in their team.
If you have any queries or questions, you can ask us in the comments section below or by sending us an email to fantasycommunitywatch@gmail.com. Please try to keep the tournament chatter to the comments section of this article. If any issues arise the decision of the CW Committee will be final.
The CW Committee: Supreme Leader AA33, Lawro, GregHammer95, FPLDreams, Speedyboyzzzz and Cylus11.
