Hi people, need some advice before the price rises. Im in a work league and currently sit 2nd. Top 4 have a breakaway group, 1st, 3rd & 4th all have Suarez who is killing me. I have 2FTs this week. Who would you recommend:

    Begovic (Mccarthy)

Evans Baines Nelsen (Cuellar & Clyne)

    Fellaini Mata Bale Stirling (Lallana)

    Tevez RVP Berbatov

I have 0 in bank but thinking Tevez to Suarez. It would mean i need save .4 on someone else. Possibly Evans although Man Utd have decent fixtures.

Midfield definitely needs a shake-up, made the move from Ben Arfa to Fellaini last night. It’s currently looking like this:

    Cazorla, Bale, Fellaini, Taarabt, Maloney

Happy to keep Maloney as a budget option and rotation with Taarabt now. Taarabt was certainly threatening against us and if he keeps that up he’s bound to see points.

What to do with my other FT? Help??

You're probably right. Ideally I'd be sleeping on this rather than sat at my computer!! Price rises are driving me to take action.
On that basis I'm going to either do:
        A) Pienaar to Fellaini & Tevez to Berbatov (1.5 bank)
        or
        B) Bale to Fellaini & Tevez to Suarez (1.8 bank) - then transfer out Pienaar next GW
        Probably A) ...

I agree. It's the age old fear of what the players might do after I transfer them out. This sort of paralysis is always a problem, meanwhile Berba, Fellaini and Suarez all keep racking up the points. Hmm ...

I would cost me more to have to get Tevez back in, but then maybe David Silva might be a better choice for City coverage moving forward?

my only worry with tevez is what if he plays the role he did today which was wide-ish, not up front and performing some defensive duties.

I can't see him playing right up front with aguero only off him in the hole. But with silva back it looks as if he may be deployed in that role.

Would it be silly to sell Cazorla to Silva/Walcott to protect value?

Bought Caz at 9.2, if he falls to 9.3 I lose that .1m. So if I buy Silva, it's a nice gamble and I may buy a rising player. If it turns out the wrong decision I can simply buy back Cazorla at 9.2/9.3

Any thoughts on this kind of move?

It is. and should be taken into some consideration. More like a tiebreaker type thing. If you feel you 2 players that you can see giving about the same returns i say go for the one who is more likely to rise more. It will help down the line. The super teams of late January and early February will be built by the ones with the money.

Yeah, that's first and foremost what is in my mind. I think Walcott looks the better option for Arsenal as he's such a massive threat all the time. The injury is going to derail that plan though. Silva is obviously not that explosive but he looked so good today and it's a like for like replacement as they have similar styles.

I'm just working on a tight budget as if I let Caz fall I'd only just be able to afford the likes of Silva...so every penny counts.

I'm ruing dropping Giroud this week. I think the Walcott + Giroud partnership could really amount to something. Caz as a slightly deeper playmaker, not looking as likely to get in the points.

Almost did it, but not to protect value. Simply wanted Silva but in the end i went through Bale instead of Cazorla. I have been waiting on Silva for a bit and dropped Aguero because i thought he needed him also. Left the money freed up for a possible Suarez to Aguero when the former gets suspended.

Silva and Giroud looks like it could be neck and neck with Tevez and Cazorla. Giroud you get a nailed on striker and with Silva a nailed on mid. Tevez could be rotated and maybe won't score as much with Aguero/Dzeko banging them in. It's a tough one.

Gotta have both of those in quick. I say Silva, maybe I'm biased though. I just think City is solid defensively at least in the PL. I can see them limiting Chelsea's chances and Silva ripping up the Chelsea defense. Maybe that's just what I'm hoping for though.

It's tough because City have Real Madrid then Chelsea and Dortmund then United. Go with your gut.

Not for me, too risky for a hit. I think Bale could finally come good playing on the break and up against the rather attacking and lacking match practice Sagna.

All those considering knee jerking Ba out. He should be lining up against the defences of Swansea, Southampton, Wigan, Fulham and QPR in Newcastle's next 7.

Go to "Transfers" and filter by "Price rise (round)".

Got two options as I don't fancy a 4 point hit

    Either

    A) cazorla or Valencia out for silva
    Or
    B) sterling out for fellaini

Kind of want to keep sterling for Wigan game but fellaini's form is undeniable.
Valencia and cazorla are obvious season keepers but silva returning to city will mean more goals

    Any help welcome

      Nice team, looks solid.

Michu to Fellaini? You have the midfield I pretty much want, just with Silva instead of Cazorla.

I take it you don't have Michu at a sellable price? If not I would consider downgrading Tevez (Giroud or Ba mibbie) to fund it.
