In what was the most tense and nail-biting finish to a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season in memory, Fantasy Football Scout member, Tom Fenley, has prevailed as champion.
Huge congratulations go to Tom on a day which saw him cling to his lead, having gone into the final Gameweek with a 13-point gap between himself and his nearest rival. Tom had that lead pegged by second-placed Borna Gamulin in what was a dramatic final day.
Everton’s clean sheet at Hull, together with bonus points for Daniel Sturridge and Samir Nasri saw Gamulin gain ground but, eventually, Arsenal’s clean sheet and Aaron Ramsey’s goal at Norwich proved decisive as Gamulin’s two Everton defenders were denied bonus points at Hull. When the dust settled, a single point won Tom the FPL crown.
While Fantasy Football Scout community members have won the FPL title on several occasions, Tom’s victory marks the first time that a member has triumphed. We’ll be catching up with Tom very soon to ask him to recall his season, the drama of the final day and just how he used our members area to help him over his campaign.
Again, our congratulations go out to Tom and to all the members of the Fantasy Football Scout community who enjoyed superb FPL campaigns. Special mentions go to Luke Weston, Veronika Solymosi and Eoin Maye who all sealed top ten finishes.
