Mondogoal Arrives At Fantasy Football Scout

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce that we’re teaming up with Mondogoal, a new daily and weekly Fantasy Football game, for the 2014/15 season.

Mondogoal arrives as a new player on the scene, backed by two of the Premier League’s elite – Man City and Liverpool – and delivers a new experience, allowing Fantasy Managers to compete for free or for cash prizes across a range of games in any given Gameweek.

The game not only covers the Premier League; Mondogoal support both the Champions League and Europa League and run contests for all the major top flight leagues – Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Major League Soccer (MLS).

Getting involved is simple – you register an account, find a contest to join and then go about selecting your starting XI.

The basic principles will be familiar, although Mondogoal has its own scoring system which introduces new factors into play when considering your lineup. Points are awarded for completed passes, defenders benefit from interceptions gathered, while the propensity to draw and commit fouls is also key.

Each week we’ll be presenting you with our assessment of the top targets on offer ahead of each set of Premier League fixtures. Throughout the season, Mondogoal will be hosting Fantasy Football Scout contests with prize pots on offer for our visitors.

A full strategy guide, discussing the finer points of the Mondogoal scoring system and assessing how this will shape our tactics, will be published later this week.

For now, check out Mondogoal’s introduction movie below and scan their site for more details.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

It's looking like the wildcard will probably be used between GW4-8 due to noticeable shift of fixture difficulty plus World Cup players coming back into team.

I don't like doubling up my attacking players on one team, especially Jose who is notorious for not being attack orientated and willing to park the bus once one up. So here is my dilemma, given the recent price changes I really, really, cannot see me affording Hazard into my team in any way shape or form. Though, maybe later I might just "have" to get him. For now, I'm battling between who to put in from Chelsea; Fabregas or Costa? Any advice welcome!

I would strongly urge you to reconsider. Hazard scored 200 points last year with Mourinho in charge... I think he'll at least match that. Costa could be a huge points scorer... I initially had fabregas instead of him but have bottled it & swapped him for DC. Not having him in my team scares me almost as much as hazard!

Help! RMT (& Some advice please!!)

    GK: Mannone / Myhill

DEF: Vlaar / Felipe Luis / Geoff Cameron

MID: Ramsey / Sanchez / Silva / Hazard / [ALBRIGHTON / EL AHMADI??]

FWD: Rooney / Zarate / [JOVETIC / DZEKO??]

(Planning on bringing Siggy in after GW1)

Also, if I opt for Jovetic over Dzeko I can swap Felipe Luis for a Terry/Cahill?.. Want a Chelsea defender.

    Thanks in advance!!

Hmmm, I'd lose Mannone, Vlaar, Cameron, one of your arsenal players, Silva & Hazard, and possibly go for Jovetic early on having watched him through pre-season, he's fighting for his position and looks convincing thus far - monitor aguero's return regularly though.

      Possible alternatives?

In defence: Wisdom, Dummett/Steven Taylor, Caulker.

In midfield: Fabregas until Hazard is match fit & firing, Mata over Silva based off fixtures and cementing his position in the hole, & replace 1 of your arsenal boys for an Eriksen, possibly Coutinho?

Up front: Based off fixtures I'm inclined to suggest Bojan over Zarate although I like your train of thought if he comes good as a differential.. Maybe Bojan and Jovetic with Wazza early on

      Your thoughts?

does fixtures really matters for attackers? i remember a lot of times where midfielders and forwards gets more points on tough games. i think many people are underestimating City players at the moment.

    Been fiddling again! RMT please

    Begovic
    Evans/Chester/Baird
    Ramsey/Hazard//Mata/Sterling
    Costa/Rooney/Austin

    Subs- Elliot/Marriappa/NTaylor/Isgrove

(i know Marrippa flagged but recon he will be fit and wouldnt play him first week)

    A. Is Ntalylor nailed for Swansea?
    B. Baird could be Wisdom, just need a starter?
    C. Isgrove could be any other 4.5?
    D.Sterling or Eriksson?
    E. Any love for Collins WH?
    F. Any other thoughts?

    Thanks

As a villa fan I'd just like to question people's logic in having el Ahmadi??!

Terrible pick. If you want AV players Grealish is the pick I'd say. Youngster coming through could potentially shine this season
