The Members Area has now been updated with the OPTA data from today’s games. Members can use the Gameweek dropdown filter to view player and team data from the day’s completed matches, with statistics from Everton vs Fulham to come.

A cursory glance at the data reveals that Luka Modric has, to this point, put in the outstanding display in midfield, enjoying one of his most dominant 90 minutes of the season in the 0-0 draw with West Ham. Members should also look out too for the contribution made by “Differential” pick Junior Hoillet (classed as a midfielder by OPTA) who was a key factor in Blackburn’s 2-2 draw with Blackpool. Wigan’s Tom Cleverley also looks on course for Bonus Points if he’s performance stats are anything to go by, while Stewart Downing and Marc Albrighton were again the top suppliers from out wide in Villa’s 1-0 home defeat to Wolves.

Scout Pick Chris Samba fully justified his selection with a goal and a host of attempts against Blackpool, while Antolin Alcaraz (on the Scout Pick bench), put in a dominant display in Wigan’s 2-1 victory over Birmingham and could well see more Bonus returns as a result.

Up front it would not be surprising to see Robin Van Persie claim Bonus given his “Goal Threat” and “Distribution & Influence” statistics. The same could be said of Wayne Rooney, although Dimitar Berbatov’s late strike is likely to earn him the plaudits and Bonus attention.

While we wait for the Fantasy Premier League Bonus verdict, Members can pop in and analyse these players and all of today’s data right here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The words from the united camp undermine everything they have said the week before for two weeks in a row.

This week fergie said it was only a red because of the gash, last week carraghers tackle was an outrage - lol, this was easily just as bad.

Last week they were banging on about how punishment should be dished out retrospectively, the week prior to that obviously Rooney chins someone and walks free - Fergie says the media have gone on a witchunt.

moan moan moan, obviously any manager would say this really - but they're being ridiculous.

They were both shocking and both deserving of a red card.

Carraghers is redeemed slightly because it was great to see Nani cry.

Because try looking at it rationally instead of through your goggles of hate.

      a) They were both sliding into the challenge full blooded. It could EASILY have been the other way round.
      b) Evans actually goes through the ball first.
      c) I think it was a red because he was off the floor, this is the crucial part.
      d) The carragher point is totally valid as refs need to start showing consistency. It's utterly ridiculous.

The reffing is just a complete mare at the moment, and as you say not just Utd related. Then the managers get banned for speaking their mind about it? Ridiculous! The managers should be allowed to say anything they like, it would make the post match interviews a 1000 times better anyway.

Fergie obviously isn't as smart as McCarthy, because he basically says what he wants, in a funny way, but he doesn't get in trouble either.

Talking about goggles, a united fan asking refs for consistency is taking irony to new levels.

Two players should have been sent off and weren't Luiz then Vidic. Vidic then did another foul worthy of a booking so was sent off then so that gets ignored. The penalty was a clear penalty as Smalling brought down Zhirkov and the ball went past him.

Or were you talking about when Atkinson played 7 minutes of injury so you could beat City?

It's not about being united fans - any fan of any team that feels the need to defend their team to the brink rather than just being reasonable is waste and not worth talking to about these kind of things.

I'm a leicester fan but i'm not blinkered enough to think that every decisions that goes against us is wrong, and everyone that goes for us is right - because it's absolutely moronic.

Some of the united fans on here do though - it's not just united fans, but above are class examples of it - absolute rubbish.

Dodgy penalty and a great freekick. Other than that we would/should have won

I noticed that. Did Blackburn put a man on him? Very few touches compared to his usual showing. Adam knee jerk to come by the way.

AAARGGGHHH - I transferred out Coleman this week - I've had Baines & Coleman for several weeks and thought continuing to double up was pushing it.

You did pretty well with Berbatov and the transfer you did (rvp) paid off. You also have RVP for the home game v BLB.

Not many transferred Adam if the top 10 is anything to go by.

Rooney with very good opta stats for this gw, should and would be in line for 3 bonus points imo

noticed samba got 6 attempts goal attempts and 3 on target, while ie huth had 0 attempts, tempting prospect samba, but not much CS coming up i guess

also noticed Hoilett is listed as a midfielder in the optas, while forward in FPL, is this correct?

Yep, to be honest he should be a midfielder by rights. The few little position conflicts with Opta data and FPL data is something we will solve for next season.
