A cursory glance at the data reveals that Luka Modric has, to this point, put in the outstanding display in midfield, enjoying one of his most dominant 90 minutes of the season in the 0-0 draw with West Ham. Members should also look out too for the contribution made by βDifferentialβ pick Junior Hoillet (classed as a midfielder by OPTA) who was a key factor in Blackburnβs 2-2 draw with Blackpool. Wiganβs Tom Cleverley also looks on course for Bonus Points if heβs performance stats are anything to go by, while Stewart Downing and Marc Albrighton were again the top suppliers from out wide in Villaβs 1-0 home defeat to Wolves.
Scout Pick Chris Samba fully justified his selection with a goal and a host of attempts against Blackpool, while Antolin Alcaraz (on the Scout Pick bench), put in a dominant display in Wiganβs 2-1 victory over Birmingham and could well see more Bonus returns as a result.
Up front it would not be surprising to see Robin Van Persie claim Bonus given his “Goal Threat” and “Distribution & Influence” statistics. The same could be said of Wayne Rooney, although Dimitar Berbatovβs late strike is likely to earn him the plaudits and Bonus attention.
