We now have confirmation of dates for the last two remaining fixtures rescheduled in light of the FA Cup semi-finals. This time the chips didn’t fall exactly where we predicted, but it’s added a nice little twist to the run-in.

Fulham will now play host to Bolton on Wednesday April 27, while the night before we will see Stoke face Wolves at the Britannia…

What this means for Fantasy Managers is a full quarter of our Premier League stable (Man City, Fulham, Bolton, Stoke & Wolves) now face a confirmed gameweek 33 blank fixture, but to make up for that, all will have a double-gameweek to follow shortly after. As already confirmed, City will get their double-header in gameweek 36, while the remaining four clubs will now contest their matches in gameweek 34.

Looking at the fixtures around this new double gameweek, it raises a few question marks on the potential of heavy investment in the teams involved.

With their next three gameweeks looking decidedly nasty [CHE, tot, —], Stoke look a very questionable proposition, with Robert Huth owners set to consider their options. The allure of the double fixture does then lead into a reasonable run of opponents [avl/WLV, bpl, ARS, mcy, WIG], but clean sheets still look hard to come by in that run.

Wolves appear to offer more promise, and their closing season run [FUL/stk, bir, WBA, sun, BLA] could encourage Fantasy investment, particularly in midfield areas where Jamie O’Hara and Matt Jarvis are beginning to earn attention. Right now, they look set to be the likely key targets for gameweek 34.

Fulham may have a nice home tie with Blackpool this week, but everything around their newly appointed double fixture looks tough. Their schedule from gameweek 32 onwards is what nightmares are made of [mun, —, wlv/BOL, sun, LIV, bir, ARS]. Bolton’s double meanwhile, isn’t a hugely attractive one, but with kind opponents to follow ARS/ful, bla, SUN, bpl, MCY] they may yet earn some Fantasy suitors; the problem here is isolating a potential target with Daniel Sturridge perhaps the leading candidate.

Fantasy Managers must now analyse their squads to decipher how exactly they can navigate the tricky no-fixture zone of gameweek 33, whilst still coming out on top in the double gameweek that follows. You can of course look forward to our regular “Scouting the Doubles” articles leading up to all these fixtures to help you assess your options, and this situation is just crying out for the “Masterplan” treatment – expect that very soon.

Season tickers will be updated shortly the represent these new (and quite possibly last of the season) changes to the Fantasy calendar.

I don't think that's what he is saying there. He is saying that on current form they are comparable and gibson may edge it which isn't saying how much gibson has improved but infact how much carrick's has below par.

I do not know what either of those words mean. But I would guess 'Stupid'?

And it depends if they have a really bad essex accent or not... And if you are going on what 'The only way is Essex' people sound like, that is not what us Essex'ers sound like in real life... At least I don't think so....

That's the media making a fuss about nothing, Chippen said afterwards to Swedish TV that he talked back to Ibrahimovic a bit more than usual and that that's happened ten times before. They're good friends.

Why the Irish have such a fondness for English football? I'd've thought they'd despise it; No?

                    some people...i swear, its unreal.

had a lad on a rugby stream earlier say the Irish were the worst for poaching overseas players in the rugby because we include northern ireland.

I actually didnt have to open my mouth, every english rugby supporter on the site tore him to pieces.

I pity the people in the lives of these people.

I still have a wildcard left to play, when do you think would be the best time to use it. I have missed the boat this week with price rises etc. I am thinking game week 32 to get rid of players who are not playing and to set up for those who have DGW's.

I am currently leading in my mini league by about 30 points and my rival does not have a WC. Any ideas on the best time to use would be appreciated. I want to get a good lead so I have a comfortable run in.

    Only Daily Fail speculation but

Rodwell to Man Utd for cash + Welbeck? Seems like bad business to me.

Bad from a purely business point of view possibly, but I think it would be a good move for the Man Utd team. They sure do't need Wellbeck, but could do with a good midfield overhaul.

I think he is pretty injury prone and Welbeck is a good prospect. I suppose it depends on how much cash is part of the deal.

Seems like bad business to me too. I've seen nothing that suggests Rodwell is better than Welbeck.

Argentina odds 1.9 to beat USA starting right now, strong lineup. I'm backing it with £50. Anyone else on something in that match?
