There’s not one, but two lunchtime kick-offs in the Premier League today, and the Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and ready for a full day of football. We start at Villa Park in a matter of minutes, whilst the game at the DW Stadium is set to go at half past.

Once the dust has settled from Adel Taarabt announcing himself to the Premier League and Darren Bent scoring the first hattrick of the season, we have a somewhat meagre offering of just three 3 p.m. fixtures…

Blackburn and Everton do battle at Ewood Park, each side desperate for their first league point of the campaign. Swansea host Sunderland, who will both fancy their chances of earning a first win of the season. And then there’s Fernando Torres, with his belligerent of fantasy owners, all praying he finally nets today at home to the Canaries.

Finally, we’ll be off to Torres’ old stomping ground Anfield, where Liverpool and Bolton meet in today’s evening game.

All of which can be followed right here, in the Dugout Discussion chatroom.

Probably been talked to death on here, but what is the common opinion on Arsenal's bid for Gary Cahill? It would great form from Wenger if he did for a joke, to mock to constant 'Cahill to Arsenal' rumours.

Correct valuation at 6/7 million. Bolton should open their eyes and cash in.

I think it's a nod to Everton as well, who need to cash in on Jagielka but think they can play hard-ball.

Didn't think N'ZOG was that poor. Still lacking match fitness but his mazy runs and crosses will earn 5-10 assists this season and at 7.5M you can't get much better than that...

From those options Ramsey has the best fixtures and Brunt is probably the most influential / important to his side.

        Ty.
I am a fan of Nzog but for this price its not worth it. At 6.5 Taarabt is a better option for the home fixtures. I am leaning towards Brunt - Taarabt or Brunt - Ramsey. I only fear that Nzog's price will decrease and I will lose the first option. Maybe I'll wait for WBA-Stoke to finish (without an injury for Brunt) and go for the first couple.

Only if Warnock makes more signings. I know that was basically our reserves defence but they seriously need some pace at the back.

Luke Young has signed and I hear we're looking at Ridgewell. Boy, do we need them. Wigan are still cack, we're just cacker at the moment.

Yeah, but that takes ages and it's still a bit of a memory test to see the 15 players they have in GW2 and then trying to check who is new in GW3, only to find that no one is new and that they've saved a transfer.

This is annoying, we should be able to see a list of their transfers over the season as you want to be able to check maybe 10+ rivals each gameweek, and the memory test way takes too long.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed with the site this year, when you consider how much the EA Sports PPI system sucks as well. Not enourmously fussed at the site crash, ok it's embarrassing for them, but after GW1, you pick yourself up and move on and it's quickly forgotten about.

But the EA Sports PPI is now ingrained into the fabric of the season, and will still be sucking come GW38!

Maybe, but in previous season's it was put in as a link in the right-hand column and linked to a separate page.

Doesn't the Data View option, just show the current players in that week, and their stats, whilst removing the picture of the kits and the football pitch? Isn't it just an alternative way of seeing the current 15 without the kits, and not a way of showing the last weeks transfers?

Was Drogba on the pitch last season when Torres got his goal against West ham? *clutching at straws*

Lot of Moses hate. 3 points isn't terrible! He's only 5.0 for f*cks sake!

3 points at home to QPR IS terrible. I view 3, 2 and 1 point in the same bracket, ie the player has done nothing!

I'm not happy unless a player scores at least 5 points really. Even an assist and a booking kind of sucks.

If all your players score 3 points, then by your definition none of them did terrible, and yet you will end up with only 36 points for your team that week, and that is truly terrible and you will be falling down the rankings fairly quickly.

If all your players score 5 points, then a total team score of 60 points is fairly decent.

Moses accounts for 1/20th of your budget. It's hardly a catastrophe.

It's not really about the price though, he is still one of my eleven places in my side that is eligable for points this week. In that sense he has as much worth as any of the other non-captained players in my side.

I'm the only one in my work mini league that has Torres in his team and best of all i made him my captain. Hoping for a hat-trick today, in all honesty i would take a goal and an assist.

What a great start; Bent (2), Nzog, Taarabt, Moses for 11pts. Hate that game

Planning to bring Sturridge for next gameweek. Does anyone think he'll be a regular starter?

Scheisse, should be though. If Torres and Sturridge were equal (for example the same age and no money spent on either), Sturridge would be ages ahead of him in the pecking order.
