There’s not one, but two lunchtime kick-offs in the Premier League today, and the Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and ready for a full day of football. We start at Villa Park in a matter of minutes, whilst the game at the DW Stadium is set to go at half past.

Once the dust has settled from Adel Taarabt announcing himself to the Premier League and Darren Bent scoring the first hattrick of the season, we have a somewhat meagre offering of just three 3 p.m. fixtures…

Blackburn and Everton do battle at Ewood Park, each side desperate for their first league point of the campaign. Swansea host Sunderland, who will both fancy their chances of earning a first win of the season. And then there’s Fernando Torres, with his belligerent of fantasy owners, all praying he finally nets today at home to the Canaries.

Finally, we’ll be off to Torres’ old stomping ground Anfield, where Liverpool and Bolton meet in today’s evening game.

      I reckon its to do with the team he plays for and the football they play. Chelsea's style doesn't mix well with his type of play. Also I get the feeling that with players like that you need a strong manager to get them back to their best. That's why I think he should have stayed at Liverpool, I reckon Dalglish would have known how to get him back to his best. Chelsea don't have that sort of connection with the players (did I read somewhere about Abramovich wanting to sell Torres 3 weeks after buying him?) Maybe Mata and Lukaku will help bring him back since they play more like Torres than the rest of chelsea. This is all just my opinion on it though 😛

    Hello everyone. Whenever I try to get onto TotalFPL my browser crashes for some reason, so was wondering if someone would be kind enough to explain to Torres situation to me please? Specifically re. chances of a fall tonight. I know it'll be talked about a lot but can't check myself unfortunately!

    Thank god I have 1m in the bank to upgrade Torres --> RVP or Rooney.

    RVP has better fixtures but Rooney has form.

    I have no Man Utd or Arsenal coverage.

    Leaning towards Rooney, thoughts?
