There’s not one, but two lunchtime kick-offs in the Premier League today, and the Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and ready for a full day of football. We start at Villa Park in a matter of minutes, whilst the game at the DW Stadium is set to go at half past.

Once the dust has settled from Adel Taarabt announcing himself to the Premier League and Darren Bent scoring the first hattrick of the season, we have a somewhat meagre offering of just three 3 p.m. fixtures…

Blackburn and Everton do battle at Ewood Park, each side desperate for their first league point of the campaign. Swansea host Sunderland, who will both fancy their chances of earning a first win of the season. And then there’s Fernando Torres, with his belligerent of fantasy owners, all praying he finally nets today at home to the Canaries.

Finally, we’ll be off to Torres’ old stomping ground Anfield, where Liverpool and Bolton meet in today’s evening game.

All of which can be followed right here, in the Dugout Discussion chatroom.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

For those who watched the Villa game, did they create any/many chances for Bent?

He seems to be getting less service than in his previous seasons, so whilst he's a good finisher, his goal count may be limited this season due to Villa having a more defensively minded manager?

didn't get too many touches but doesn't need too many to score. always has been a poacher and goalscorer in box. will get his 14-19 goals this season without a doubt. n'zogbia looked good and agbonlahor looked superb. at 6.5m was skinning richard stearman all match. 3 bps for me.

Not the best game tbh. 0-0 seems fair.

        Cahill, NZog, Sinclair, Moses, O'Hara
        Rooney, Torres, Suarez

I've got 2 frees for next week, meaning I probably wont wildcard.

Made the same transfer. Ridiculous - don't know why. Though to be fair Silva's goal was a major Jaask mistake and Cahill had a SITTER from 2 yards that he scores 8 out of 10 times and he'd scored for Australia a week before. Not that crazy when it comes to logic as QPR had lost 4-0 on opening day...

Feck,no Alex! :'( Now I hope Norwich score.Should've just changed him to Bos instead of saving the transfer.Well at least Yaya gets subbed in.

Why would you keep Alex?, you obviously don't watch football.

Hoped AVB would stick with him rather than punishing him for just one mistake.Granville said the same thing yesterday. But he's definitely going out for Bos now.

It wasn't just one mistake, he was slow at crucial times to react and when running back to tackle, he was caught out of position a lot and ran forward with no regard for leaving our defence wide open, when Ivanovic came on he was much better and sharper, put in a brilliant ball for Drogba and never left us exposed even when running forward. So its not just one mistake, Ivanovic is a better CB.
