It’s the third Saturday of the season and, unless you’re on wildcard number three, the subtle tinkering that separates the wheat from the chaff finally takes over. You’re not completely on your own however, as The Saturday Surgery opens it’s doors for another session.

All the resources you need to make your decisions as informed as possible are at your fingertips. The weekend Team News is bang up-to-date, the Scout Picks have been selected (and let’s face, they’re almost guaranteed to do better than the first two efforts) and the Injuries and Bans table is there as a sanity check to avoid those daft last-minute punts on crocked players (I’ve been there).

For me, I’ll be making the subtlest of changes… zero transfers, same captain. So I’m off to pop the kettle on, and when I get back I’ll heading over to the The Saturday Surgery to smugly take pleasure as others scramble around for inspiration. Enjoy.

    Anyone else not feeling too good captaining Suarez? Sounds stupid but everytime I've had a captain in a 5:30 game they've failed to produce.

    Torres (C), a Chelsea striker at home to Norwich being a differential, i don't care how out of form he is. I'd put Heskey as captain if he was playing up front for them.

      why do you have both drogs and torres?? the odds of them playing together (which would actually be very interesting to see) are very low, meaning one will probably replace the other. not worth the money or the striker slot tbh

    Didn't play the first gameweek at all due to the technical problems.

    Second week was horrible. Therefore I need to risk.

    Sessegnon as my captain. He is a very good player and he will get opportunities to score against Swansea today.

    Not recommending anyone to do so, just saying what I will be doing.
