It’s the third Saturday of the season and, unless you’re on wildcard number three, the subtle tinkering that separates the wheat from the chaff finally takes over. You’re not completely on your own however, as The Saturday Surgery opens it’s doors for another session.

All the resources you need to make your decisions as informed as possible are at your fingertips. The weekend Team News is bang up-to-date, the Scout Picks have been selected (and let’s face, they’re almost guaranteed to do better than the first two efforts) and the Injuries and Bans table is there as a sanity check to avoid those daft last-minute punts on crocked players (I’ve been there).

For me, I’ll be making the subtlest of changes… zero transfers, same captain. So I’m off to pop the kettle on, and when I get back I’ll heading over to the The Saturday Surgery to smugly take pleasure as others scramble around for inspiration. Enjoy.

  Yeah. I have decided to save my transfer. I am also playing Moses. I miscounted on my team. Have (Simpson) also on the bench (but will leave him there. Newcastle can't surely have another cleansheet.
  
  I'm going for the risky and will captain Rooney. Arsenal are falling to pieces and haemorraging at the back, so I think United can get some big points.

Tempted to ditch Kompany and bring in Shawcross, Ramsey or Hoolahan from the bench... No outstanding candidate there to bring in though really as I'm saving my transfer to have 2 next week...

  I currently have Bosingwa as captain, still not totally convinced its the right idea, but it feels like a guaranteed 90 mins + clean sheet as well as strong chance of bonus points and maybe an assist - so it definitely can't be awful. Who are you're other options?
