It’s the third Saturday of the season and, unless you’re on wildcard number three, the subtle tinkering that separates the wheat from the chaff finally takes over. You’re not completely on your own however, as The Saturday Surgery opens it’s doors for another session.

All the resources you need to make your decisions as informed as possible are at your fingertips. The weekend Team News is bang up-to-date, the Scout Picks have been selected (and let’s face, they’re almost guaranteed to do better than the first two efforts) and the Injuries and Bans table is there as a sanity check to avoid those daft last-minute punts on crocked players (I’ve been there).

For me, I’ll be making the subtlest of changes… zero transfers, same captain. So I’m off to pop the kettle on, and when I get back I’ll heading over to the The Saturday Surgery to smugly take pleasure as others scramble around for inspiration. Enjoy.

Just changed captain from Rooney to Torres at 11.25am. Not at all confident but most people in my league have Rooney and have captained him...........time shall tell....I am worried though. Why the hell did I pick Torres in the 1st place 🙂

  Seriously thinking about doing it now. I know it is only early doors but I have made a very bad start and am thinking about going for some early value uplift to kickstart my season. The coincidence of the international break and shutting of the transfer window could provide some good opportunities to make a few quid.

I saw someone thinking of doing WC. It's way to early in my opinion. Transfer window still open. Plus this is only GW3.

Anyway, who knows what the winter will bring yep we get an extra one then but it's always wise to keep WC till you need it later in season. This panic changing after two GWs is mad.

      Torres for me is one who will either shine today or come up blank as he has done pretty much since he joined Chelsea.
      
      Personally I ain't got him and I am not going to lose any sleep not having him. However, today could be the day. It could go either way. If it goes the wrong way I bet I can guess who will be first out of your team for the next GW.

  Probably was to be fair Arsenal are weak at the moment and United will trounce them! Arse will up their game but United will prevail and Rooney is normally at the heart of things. You made the right choice. I wish I had him but it would cost too many points to bring him in.
