The Saturday Surgery

It’s the third Saturday of the season and, unless you’re on wildcard number three, the subtle tinkering that separates the wheat from the chaff finally takes over. You’re not completely on your own however, as The Saturday Surgery opens it’s doors for another session.

All the resources you need to make your decisions as informed as possible are at your fingertips. The weekend Team News is bang up-to-date, the Scout Picks have been selected (and let’s face, they’re almost guaranteed to do better than the first two efforts) and the Injuries and Bans table is there as a sanity check to avoid those daft last-minute punts on crocked players (I’ve been there).

For me, I’ll be making the subtlest of changes… zero transfers, same captain. So I’m off to pop the kettle on, and when I get back I’ll heading over to the The Saturday Surgery to smugly take pleasure as others scramble around for inspiration. Enjoy.

    • Only Carlos Tevez (43) has scored more top-flight goals than Darren Bent (42) since the start of the 2009-10 season

    Just to let u know

Think that Tevez could still be a massive Fantasy player this season. the man has a long track record of seeming like he doesn't give a damn off the pitch, then playing like a superhero on it.

Boswinga is doing the same job as Cashley but for £2m less. If you already have Torres then play him this week but I wouldn't recommend transferring him in.

Quite a sweeping statement there. With so many similar teams at the moment, you're relient on captain luck to get ahead, so the odd well-chosen differential makes a lot of sense.

Ownership is irrelevant at this stage. People need to focus on getting the most points possible, that's how you win at this game.

PBCSMM, if you already have Barkley in your squad, start him. I was considering bringing him in today, but it would be a second transfer (so -4 pts), and i already have two everton - Fixtures aren't great in a few weeks, but for next 2-3, might be worth a gamble, if already in your squad.
