Manchester United have just joined Edin Dzeko in turning Gameweek three upside down.

In 90 minutes of football, United simply blitzed a bewildered Arsenal, ravaged by injury and suspension, ill-equipped and unprepared for the waves of United attacks and individual brilliance thrown at them.

For Fantasy owners of Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, United’s 8-2 win has brought a rare bounty of points that will have transformed their Gameweek scoring. Three goals and an assist from Rooney, a brace and and three assists from Young, the returns are beyond our wildest expectations and the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal fans and their beleaguered manager who could only watch on while their inexperienced and shell-shocked side were dismantled. Those Fantasy managers without the United pair are unlikely to feel much better – mini-leagues have been turned on their head by today’s events.

This afternoon will have a major impact on the Fantasy Premier League game with Young and Rooney now inevitably set to enjoy huge investment during the international break. Prices will rise, Wildcards will flutter – an extraordinary end to our Fantasy Gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Wildcard...hysteria it seems on this place.
I need some cool heads one here to tell me not to do it!
I'm not that convinced that there will be too many double risers (a lot of casual players will just stay away for 2 weeks)

    Hilario/Vorm
    Hughes/Warnock/Simpson/Brown/Kompany
    Silva/Moses/Surman/Cahill/Brunt
    Rooney/Suarez/Bent

I did Torres to Suarez last night and I have one more free.

    Probably Bent to Dzeko.

    Should I wc?? Thanks lads

if you used your wc perhaps bent to dzeko and kompany to enrique (or some other cheapter defender) and then use the extra funds to upgrade your midfield?

I'm having a similar problem (posted on the last page with no response) so any help would be much appreciated mate!

Surprised so many people are playing wildcards when they don"t have to. I always seem to end up with enough guys hurt and out of favor that at some point I need to WC in order to field 11 men.

I saved two FTs and decided to drop Bent for Dzeko since I think I prefer Dzeko long term, especially for 1.5 million less.

Dzeko is too much of a rotation risk for me. Mancini is mental after all. Only player i want to get in is Walcott, but will wait till after then internationals.

        Dzeko will start v Wigan

And that's all I care about right now

You dnt drop someone who scored 4 away from home and in the form of their life in their next game. Mancini understands last season was terrible for dzeko so will want to keep his run going

right now dzeko perhaps as he is in form and tevez can easily replace aguero. however long run I'd say dzeko is definitly the bigger rotation risk because aguero has the talent to match the scoring of the likes of rooney and suarez

Season has been totally unpredictable thus far, Tottenham conceded 19 goals all of last season at home, and they have conceded over a quarter of that in one game. Most of them to a player who looked like he couldn't hit a barn door last season! Utd's 8-2 victory over Arsenal was even more unbelievable with Rooney scoring all his goals from set pieces/a penalty, you couldn't make this shit up. If you picked Rooney or Dzeko as your captain consider yourself very lucky, the odds were stacked against you, even if they were both in good form. Which brings me to my next question, what percentage of FPL would you say is down to luck, as much as 20% would you say?

if I used my wc id initially make this my squad but would obviously keep tinkering the next two weeks and maybe fit one of rooney or hernandez in (or put bent back in). i realize aguero and dzeko is a bit overkill but trying to catch dzeko's price rise and thinking it wouldn't be bad to have both for wigan

          given, hilario/vorm
          bosingwa, enrique, ward, senderos, simpson
          silva, walcott, dempsey, brunt/anderson/cleverly, ferguson

Including the Community Shield, Man U have scored 16 goals in four games. Admittedly a weakened Arsenal, but also three against Spurs (could have been WAY more) and three against Citeh

I really think you cant afford not to have at least one big hitting Man U attack threat in a team

They could seriously be tanking the weaker teams at Old Trafford on a pretty regular basis and even for tougher games they are as close to fixture proof as you can get

I agree. so front line of suarez aguero rooney? and perhaps I can swap rooney for hernandez later if things are looking that way. but not sure how I would get roo in without using the wc (which would also allow me to make some other changes I need to).

    a) putting in dzeko and mata for a 4 point hit

    b) aguero in for a straight torres swap?

also considering delaying transfers (only doing them early to avoid dzeko price hike) to see whether arsenal bring in anyone? i'm an arsenal fan and i dont see us getting a decent win against swansea unless good investments are made
